Story

I am a Birth Doula, Hypno-Doula, professional birth photographer and personally experienced in childbirth. Growing up on the Southern Gulf Islands I was introduced to birth at a very young age. I witnessed many animals give birth in my presence, which taught me to believe in the natural process of life enjoy the beauty of birth. This is what began my passion for birth, women’s health, and the body’s natural ability to care for its offspring.

Apple Blossom Families was born from the two things I love most: birth and photography. I am delighted to assist families in BC's Lower Mainland with their pregnancy, birth and postpartum needs. I work as a both a birth doula and birth photographer in clients homes and in hospitals. My clients love the support during their births and they love having the clear crisp images afterwards to remember the day their baby was born.

Before becoming a mother, I became a photographer and graduated from the Professional Photo Imaging program at Langara College. As a complete package, I offer my services as a birth photographer and doula. Having a dedicated photographer helps your birth partner live in the moment instead of capturing the moment behind the lens. After your experience, you will have beautiful images to remember the moment of your child entering this world.
