I went into angles with coloured black hair. I asked Casey for a blonde balayage or a dark brown if blonde was not possible. After spending 17 hours in his chair, and close to 1000$ this is what I’m left with on top of fried hair. I was charged 3-4x my estimated quote. I’m embarrassed at how I was taken advantage of. I contacted the salon owner last week and have yet to receive a response. Terrible customer service, and terrible work done on my hair. I can’t believe anyone would let a client leave the salon looking like this. The stylist stands by his work stating harsh bleach lines are expected and that this is the process of colour correcting. I’m in disbelief I paid that much to have my hair completely ruined. I would 1000% recommend avoiding this salon.
Casey is a true talent when it comes to cutting, colouring and stying hair. I've got difficult hair and he knows exactly how to shape and cut it to give me the professional look. He has cut my hair for years and Ive recommended him to my family and friends - he never disappoints! He keeps the conversation interesting and fun making the time go quickly. His stories are hilarious! His knowledge of the different hair products is remarkable.
My new salon! This is a convenient salon to use as parking in Westbrook is great. Staff are lovely. Cleanliness during COVID-19 appears to be A1 and customers are scheduled to maintain Distance. Best of all Hassan cut and styled my hair beautifully. It is an excellent cut and I look forward to going on a regular basis. A five star experience.
Casey Coutts is one of the best color technicians in the city. I had very dark hair and wanted blonde hair. He explained to me it would take a few sessions to get to where I wanted to be. He will not damage your hair to rush it. I am so glad I went to him. He is so professional and really knows what he is doing. I highly recommend him.
I went to this place as it was close to a friends I was visiting in Calgary. I would say for a guy, I do want my hair looking good as I am in the public eye. My hair being thick, I like it thinned out, shaped, textured, blended so I can have the "Spikey" look, Well needless to say besides having to explain myself ample of times what I wanted it turned out terrible. I was not happy and he knew that. Just because a shope charges more as this one did, doesn't neccessarily mean they are good!!! I get my hair cut every 6 weeks and I can honestly say if I lived here i would NEVER visit this Salon again. Obviiously don't listen to their clients and charge more then they are actually worth! Read the other reviews we aren't all wrong
Cant say enough great things about this salon. I have been going there for almost 20 years. Excellent cuts and colors. I have often had other hairdressers ask me who cut my hair, because they thought it was so well done. Staff is all friendly.
I booked here last minute to get a hair cut. I was passed between three people to complete the service, one of whom failed to put any product in my hair before blow drying, resulting in a frizzy mess. Rather than redo the job properly, the stylist just drowned it in hair spray. My bangs don't blend into the rest of my hair and stick out hap hazardly. Next time I will plan ahead and try to book into a salon that cares about the quality of its services.
I always get me hair cut with Cindy, she takes her time and does what I ask her to do. She always leave me looking fresh and clean. I highly recommend Angles on 8th Ave, don't confuse it with the one in the CORE.
Casey is a whizz with blondes I absolutely love my hair every time I leave and I'm quite hard to please since I am a stylist myself and very picky with my colour plus when I ask him to take the tiniest bit off the ends he does just that never have to worry or panic such a relaxing experience love love love it!!!
Hate it! had my hair done once, and it didn't turn out what i wanted. THEY DONT DO WHAT THE CLIENT WANTED, My hair turned out orange and i paid a lot, Im really disappointed, after few weeks i went to hair-tec riverbend and i am more than satisfied with what it turned out!!
