Worst service for anyone that has an allergy; I ordered a Lg steak and Cheese bomb with no bread they quoted me 10 mins it'll be ready.. I get there pay 12$ for literally half a sandwich that doesn't come with anything except bad service.. and I glance at the specials and there's a Lg steak n cheese with fries and a soda for $10.95... I would have offered that to someone ordering half of a sandwich.. and they had the great idea to not give a fork for takeout.
Delicious pizza everytime. Had their veggie pizza, added sausage.. was loaded with toppings! BBQ chicken and buffalo were also yummy, they use fried tenders. Haven't ever had a bad pizza from here.. small, or large they always make it worth your money! A free liter of soda with purchase of a large pizza everyday. Not a bad deal!
Hometown pizza at a great price. Crust is thick but still has a little softness, sauce is yummy and toppings were plentiful. Young staff were friendly and knew about the products. I noticed in another review that someone had complained about the tables, they are an older style but in much better condition than several other places in this area.
My food was soaked with grease pouring right out of it. Wasn't made right at all, and the service was well. It doesn't deserve 1 star. Hampden doesn't hold the same standards Bangor does. Very disappointedFood: 1/5
I've driven by a few times now and finally, I had an opportunity to stop in and grab some pizza. The parking lot is enough to fit a few cars and there are a few tables outside on the covered porch. Inside you'll find more booths and tables - plenty of space for a decent-sized group. The staff was friendly and the service was quick. I went with a plain cheese pizza and it was pretty good! The crust was thick, fluffy, but also airy and light. They certainly didn't skimp on the cheese which was browned nicely. The sauce was pleasantly sweet. There was a little bit of cheese slide, but I didn't mind too much. Overall, I'm happy with Angelo's and would happily return for more.
Very basic place paper plates and plastic silverware, but the pizza is outstanding. Crust is light and fluffy and crunchy around the edges, and their sauce is fantastic.
The gluten-free option is the best of their pizza, in my opinion.Food: 4/5
If you want lasagna don't go here, unless you like lasagna noodles, watery sauce and very little meat. Mine had no ricotta filling which is what makes lasagna and the sauce was watery, tasted like it was made this morning. This went from this picture to the trash can. Such a waste of money........
We have ordered before for lunch, never had a problem until today. Ordered, was late, not a problem, things happened. We still had lunch, mind you a 80+$ meal. Paid tip over phone. Well, customer service was awful. Just. Awful. The driver/deliverer was very rude, snippy, and demanded we hand her a tip. Well, we explained we sent one when we paid over the phone and it was on the recipient, that wasn't apparently not good enough, with her reaction as: Well, so you're not going to tip me? We called to let them know how snippy and rude she was, then THE OWNER: basically gave us a huge drug through the mud by saying her reaction was fine because she is paid "5-6$ dollars an hour, and for tips" when we explained that we were slightly frustrated due to the poor service and how we were treated.
I grew up eating a lot at Angelo's in Bangor, and it is great to have a place like the Hampden branch that can deliver to where I currently live, way out in the middle of basically nowhere. I want to preface this by saying that the staff I spoke to were all great, friendly, and understanding, including my delivery driver, who I could notice seemed very overworked. However a recent order recently rubbed me very much the wrong way in terms of food quality. I ordered some Mozzarella Sticks, a Chicken Caesar Wrap with lettuce, and a small Buffalo Chicken Pizza with Ranch. The Mozzarella Sticks were disgustingly overbattered and incredibly greasy. It almost made me vomit and it made me feeling like I had a rock in my stomach the entire next day. I took only a single bite of the wrap and other than smelling mustard in what was meant to be a Caesar wrap, first of all, was very strange. Second, I could not tell if the greens used in the wrap was traditional lettuce or grass clippings, because it looked like the former, but tasted like the latter. I should have started with the Buffalo Chicken Pizza with Ranch because it was probably the most unexciting thing I ordered, for better or for worse. There was some buffalo chicken on it and it tasted like buffalo chicken, but I couldn't taste any ranch whatsoever, so it just ended up being slightly spicy and kind of... bland. And that's not to mention the extremely stale crust that has been used forever seems to have gotten even more stale. I'm leaving this review in hopes that the quality of the food does eventually improve. However, when it was explained to me by the person who took my phone call that a ton of orders were running late, that leads me to believe a lot of this is down to poor management and the rest of the staff are doing the best they can.
