First time here, stopped in for a late lunch. We got the pasta sampler plate lasagna, ravioli & manicotti and lasagna. Everything was delicious, especially the ‘Villa cheese bread!’ Which was a wonderful culinary surprise! You get one each free than they are 50 cents each and well worth it, they practically melt in your mouth! Lunch menu prices were very fair and our waitress was extremely friendly & attentive, thank you!
This is a wonderful place to visit, visually. I was however extremely disappointed with my food. I'd heard they have the " best" steak. No, sorry they do not. I ordered the NY strip, it was very tuff. I brought it home for my dog, I literally could not chew it. I still enjoyed the visit. The history of this place alone is worth seeing!
This place was highly recommended by some folks at work in Toledo, so we popped in for a lunch. Great food, amazing service and reasonable prices. Wonderful old-school, classic decor. We will be going back. Highly recommended! Pictured is the chicken parm with a side of pasta lunch portion, which also included a nice side salad
My fiancé showed me this place about 4 years ago, I’ve been back here and there over those four years and really love the food . All the steak is great as well as the French onion soup. Has an older look inside the restraunt and makes you feel you’re in the older days. Always a great experience, and the staff is great
Angelo’s is excellent! A great step back in time to when there were roadhouses on primary highways that served class good with a band and dance floor. Their building was once a gambling hall that still has remnants of its past still visible. We held a birthday party for 30 at Angelo’s on a Friday night and their service was wonderful!
Pros: Very entertaining decor, very good waitress service, delicious cheese bread appetizer. Cons: Very rude older blonde woman who has an attitude especially if you have not made a reservation, steak was not impressive at all - as it should be for the price, drinks are small, and the dining room is very packed close together with other patrons.
Amazing food and atmosphere. Loved it we ordered steak so good. Drinks all of it amazing dinner
Cool old decor and great local history in the past inside of this strange exteriored building. Great thing's going on so go on in!! Nice staff. Delicious starters. Some of the best steaks in Monroe. Highly recommendFood: 5/5
Attend The Northwood Villa for My partners Birthday Dinner. He & My Mother had Prime Rib. I had Baked Mostacoli. My mom & I had The French Onion Soup. Mu Partner had a side salad. French Onion Soup good. Lots of cheese. Salad good. Nothing spectacular. My partners Prime Rib very good. My Mostacoli was good. I wish the sauce was thicker & meatier. The best part of it was the baked mozzarella cheese. My partner felt like we weren't welcome. He said that when we left The Hostesses didn't say Thank You,come Again. That small jesture goes along way.
We went to celebrate our 25 anniversary but didn't make reservations. They seated us in the bar area which was just fine with us. The bartender was also our waitress and after myself owning taverns, she was absolutely fantastic. The food was wonderful. My parents came here regularly in 70's and 80's and it was my mother's favorite place, and now I know why!
