Angela was completely professional and a joy to talk to. She knew just what to do for my hair type. I went to get box braids done, which would normally be pretty painful but Angela didn't hurt my scalp at all! Highly recommend
WORST HAIRDRESSERS EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE. My advice- AVOID! I bought a grupon voucher and decided to give Angela's a go. The salon itself puts off straight away as it's very dated and dirty. Even the towel I had had wrapped on my head after washing my hair had horrible stains on it- I think it was bleach or something. I showed Angela the hair cut I wanted- a simple medium length bob. She has been cutting my hair for very long time, kept asking me about the length few times like she wasn't sure what to do. In the end she cut it very uneven. When I looked in the mirror and noticed it, I informed Angela and she started to correct it. When the hair still didn't look good I informed Anglea again, she started rising her voice at me and in the end blaming my straight hair for it! She said she can keep cutting but I didn't want her to do any more damage, cut it any shorter. I just wanted to leave the place. I left very dissapponted, and also had to pay extra £10 surcharge as my hair was longer than up to my shoulder. Back home I had to cut little bit of my hair myself to make it straight. I think the only good thing I experienced at Angelas was a free coffee. As I said at the beginning that was the worst hairdressers experience I have even had. Would not recommend that place to anyone. Hope that helps.
Absolutely VILE human being. She is a con. Doesn’t mind taking people’s money, even if a SIX year old loses out! My sister kindly went to help me out, to pick up some hair for my daughter., by picking up some hair from Angela. Knowing that this is her job, I gave my sister a pic to give to her. Angela gave my sister some horrifically huge jumbo twists. And I am in no way over exaggerating. They wouldn’t even look right on someone with a fat head, let alone a 6 year old child! So I called up, asked to return the items, completely unopened. And she said “have a good day!” And slammed the phone down. She took complete advantage of my sister not knowing about hair. The customer service is appalling. And any person that asks, I will tell them to avoid it at all costs. Not to mention the condition of the overpriced junk she sells is of the LOWEST Quality. Avoid this woman, and this salon. Money hungry, overpriced, low quality. Oh and she gives you attitude if someone else fits the hair she sells.
Worst experience with a hair "stylist" ever. So bad not deserving of any stars had to add at least one to be able to post. Angela was combative right from the start when a simple request for a cape for hair washing was requested and it just went downhill from hill. So bad I no longer felt comfortable to let her continue with the already sub par service and further belligerent words. Angela was keen to let me know I obviously learnt of her of services from her presumed successfully trafficked website twas' a mere and misguided google search and that I am not the 1st person whose hair she has done I am not the 1st but I should definitely be the last if her "great" customer service is anything to go by.
Unprofessional. Does not cater to natural hair - the owner Angela described my hair as being 'difficult' throughout the service. Customer care was abysmal and the job wasn't done properly. I ended up paying almost double the price I was quoted by her. Horrible experience over all. Disappointed.
I would have given her zer0 stars if I could have done, for the reason that I had my hair done by Angela on Thursday 5th July 2018, which you can see on her facebook page I had the bluey-black, short, curly weave put in and it looked really nice to begin with and I actually liked it. However, she had done a very bad job of it, which was really disappointing for someone who is supposed to be a professional hairdresser and business woman, as it had started pulling at my own hair at the front and it was coming loose, with gaps starting to show at the front and back of my hair and the whole weave felt like it was about to come off, since it hadn't been sewn on properly and tightly enough altogether over my whole head and on my actual hair and it was coming undone within just under 1 weeks time from when I had it done and weaves are meant to last a while, for around 1 to 3 months time, not within just under 1 weeks time. So I wasn't happy about that, as the weave needed to be taken out and redone completely, since sewing the loose bits and gaps back wouldn't work or help make it look better at all and that's why I phoned her up about it and then I went down to the salon to show her myself face to face, so that she could see it for herself and in the hopes that we could also resolve the problem and maybe come to some sort of agreement together. There on Angela saw my hair and what the problem with it was, but she was only going to quickly sew up the loose bits and gaps back, which would've made it look rushed and untidy. Now the reason as to why I'm complaining about all of this and the experience that I had and what I dealt with to do with her, is because I received absolutely appalling customer service, as she turned it around on me and called me a liar and said that I had intentionally pulled at the weave myself and brushed at the hair by pulling it apart and making those gaps and loose bits, which to my dismay I could not absolutely believe it and I still can't now, as I didn't do those things to it at all, especially as she had overcharged me for it, since it cost me £90, which is a lot of money to just get it put in, as weaves take a lot less time to get put in then if you're having braided plaits or box braids done. Furthermore, not only did I spend a lot of money to get my hair done nicely by her and get overcharged for it, on top of everything else that had just happened, she didn't even care about what she had done to me and about how upset, angry and annoyed I felt and still do at the whole thing or even have the humane decency to refund me some of my money back either and her behaviour and actions towards me as someone who's meant to be a professional hairdresser and business woman was utterly unacceptable. Plus she didn't even apologize to me for what she had done to my hair or try and make up for it, by taking the time to try and sort out the problem with it in a polite and understanding manner with me either. Moreover, I know that I will definitely not be going back to her ever again and I won't ever be purchasing anything from her at all in the future too, for the reason that I had a regrettable experience with her, which was absolutely shocking and I will never ever forget it for the rest of my life. What's more, I didn't expect it to happen as she had my trust then, but then she broke it for her own benefit and profit gain, by taking advantage of being able to get some extra cash for herself, which was some of my hard earned money that I wasted and lost because of her. In addition, I normally don't complain about other people or the lack of customer service that I receive, as when I've had problems and issues before, they have been dealt with properly and professionally like they normally should do, but she didn't do that in this situation and I lost all my confidence in letting her redo and touch my hair ever again too!
I would give this zero stars, but can’t. I had an appointment for haircut and hi-lights. Drove out of my way 25 minutes for this appointment, but when I got there the shop was shut. She didn’t even have the courtesy to tell me my appointment was cancelled. I have never experienced this before with any other hairdressers.
If I could not give any star I would. She doesn’t do her job properly, she makes up prices. Got my hair extensions done with her paid 80£ in 4 days they fell off I went back and she charged me 20 £ to put them back knowing that that was her fault that she didn’t sew them properly then in 2 days I came back again with them slipping out my head and she was super rude about it and puffin to do them back. Don’t recommend waste of money
It's not easy to find a good hairdresser for mixed afro caribbean hair. Have visited twice and travelled a considerable way to get there. Good service and Angela is knowledgeable, professional and friendly
