No complaints about his service. The problem was he wasn’t qualified to install the thermostat. He disconnected my old system before knowing whether the new one can be installed he return two times after that to try to repair the system, but was not able to. Major rip-off!!! My furnace broke down. I called Angel Climatisation because Borce, the owner of this small family business had installed my heat pump a few years ago and I felt he was familiar with my heating system. He arrived with his son and his first words were to prepare me for what was to come “COVID has shot the price of everything up. Replacing your furnace would cost $7300.” We agreed on 6900 cash and being as ignorant as I was at the time I felt I’m getting a good deal. A couple of days later he replaced my furnace and I paid in full. A nagging feeling told me I was ripped off. I started my research and found out that other companies would install the EXACT same furnace for about $3800 plus tax. This would include the price of the furnace and installation. I also found out that the furnace by itself costs about 2100 and this includes tax and delivery. I called Borce. I complained and assured him that I was now MUCH more informed than I was on his first visit when I had fully and stupidly trusted him. I sent him proofs that he had gouged me. He then came to see me. He told me he had paid $4500 for the furnace. Now why would ANYONE pay $4500 for a $2000 equipment is way beyond me!!! He brought me a bill showing the amount he supposedly paid all the while saying that he did not have to show me anything. However, he did not allow me to make a copy of his bill. Even if I were to accept his bill, this still means I paid $2400 cash for the 1.5 hours he spent with his son to do my straight-forward installation. Other companies charge $1500 + tax for installation alone. After some heated discussion he returned $1000. I told him I am still not satisfied, but he said it’s this or nothing. But I smartened up a bit. I made him sign a note saying I had a 5-year warranty to ensure he still respects it. I also informed him in advance that I will be writing this review. LESSON: Do your research in advance. Ask about the equipment you will be getting. Check prices. Take your time if at all possible. NO ONE can be trusted and they’re all out to make a buck or a few thousand at your expense. And don’t think that dealing with a small business is any better.Service: Installation
I have never had such a negative experience with a home service ever. The owner Boris was extremely disrespectful to me and yelled at me on the phone after I complained about the job they did. Unfortunately I did not have the chance to inspect their work before they left as I was tending to a fussy toddler. They came in with their shoes and tracked dirt on my floor after I told them I had young children so to please be careful because of the situation with the pandemic. I asked for two wall ac unit cleanings and inspection for mold. Each unit was cleaned in under 10 minutes and rather than bring his own cleaning supplies, asked me to provide him with my own paper towels to clean with. He said my Freon had to be topped up, which of course is an extra charge. I asked him if it was a chemical and if it was safe as my youngest has respiratory issues. I was told “yeah, yeah it’s safe”. After looking up the chemical I read it is actually being phased out and is now banned from new machines because it causes RESPIRATORY ISSUES that are irreversible. The worst part was the unprofessional employee and abusive way I was yelled at. I told him not to come back because it took an hour to clean and disinfect the floors and he yelled, his shoes which he wears outside are clean. He also screamed he cannot make my machine look like new which I said I wasn’t expecting. But when I passed a rag with hot water on the blades after his “cleaning job” it came off black with all the residue still left. You can see in the pictures. I was also told “I will give you your money back because I don’t want your money” then I was hung up on. Of course I was never given any money back. Now after spending $390 I am left with two still dirty ac units that I am scared to turn on for fear of how it will affect my child’s health. I wish I had called any other company, do not make the same mistake I did. These pictures are after the units were “cleaned”!
