Andy's Dark Dirty Bar - This is more bar than restaurant. Very dark, almost entirely lit by neon beer signs. - Dirty sticky tables - Fountain drinks are flat and taste very old - Understaffed and not very friendly - I bring my own energy drinks with me to restaurants as most don't have any and this this the first time I wasn't allowed to drink my own drink. - Salads all white core of iceberg head - dressing has almost no flavor - Tiny plates, no room for ketchup - Home made but soggy fries - Had to go to the bar for refills - Very cheap food, and that explains the 70+ year old demographic - very few parking spaces that are always full Features: None
Group of coworkers for late dinner. It’s been several years since I have been there on a Friday night. Our group was 8. Souvlaki.& rice still pretty decent but the rice was cold. Fries are fresh cut apparently but there was a debate about that fact but they were tasty. Portions are large and salad was fresh. Pita bread has changed. I thought it was not the best. Tasted more like a over fried hot dog bun. Server was great. She was on top of it and the bar was very busy. We only had about a 5 minute wait and it was a busy Friday night. Also ordered a take away. Next time will certainly change order and avoid the pita. Meat was very tasty. I ordered chicken and a Turkey plate to go. Still the same happy noisy crowed place as it used to be when you had to be a member. My family is now a 4 generation family to eat here. My kids hit it for Sunday mornings steak & eggs.
Dinner was quite tasty, as always! If you don't know this place, you need to go! The pork souvlaki is my favorite, but everything on their menu is delicious. They have a good selection of beer and a full bar. Don't forget homemade baklava for dessert!
I wasn’t going to make this review… I really don’t want this place to get too busy. We stopped in for lunch hoping for the snow to clear so we could get back home over the mountain. We were completely surprised by the quality of the food and service. Definitely recommend!!!Recommended dishesGreek Bread, Salads, Burger, French Fries
The Andy’s Special is seriously the best ribeye steak! Cooked perfectly to medium and whatever they season it with makes it tender and delicious. Don’t even have to use steak sauce 10/10 Kid-friendliness: They have a side room where you can come eat with kids under 21
I used to love getting Greek food from here but hadn’t in a while. I decided to go and get some and it was not at all what it used to be. The tzatziki sauce was extremely runny, the rice was like mashed potato consistency and the gyro didn’t have much flavor.
Very dissapointing. We moved away a long time ago but visit twice a year and try to eat at Andy's while we are here. This time, it's been a year since we were there but yesterday the food really sucked. The pork souflaki wasn't terrible but not like it was. Everything else was terrible.
I order the chicken and pork souvalaki with lemon rice. Meat was tender and very delicious. Lemon rice was okay, next time I may order the fries. Parking: Parking is different during peak hours but the place is awesome.
Andy’s is the best Greek food in Ogden and probably SLC & north. Their dolmathes are big and delicious. The turkey souvlaki is hands down the best. It is usually busy on Friday & Saturday nights.
I’ve been eating takeout from Andys for over 20 years and I absolutely loved their turkey souvlaki with the lemon rice. Sadly the prices have went out of control and I can’t pocket spending $40 for two dinners that have less food than it used to, before the prices were raised consistently. I honestly know businesses have to do what they need to do to stay afloat.. but the prices are way more than I can handle now.
