not welcoming, slow wait about 40 min. cheap price. small griot is 5.22$. they rarely have pikliz or plantain. rice is good, seasoning is leaning on the salty side and meat is juicy and tender. not bad at all. too bad they don’t have pikliz and plantain. what’s a griot without em?! portion is ok.
Not welcoming at all. Neither the clerks nor the clients. Dont expect a good vibe or a smile! Food was good nothing spectacular. Menu is barely readable. Strict minimum shown i suppose. Prices arent cheap but not expensive either. Wont be going back.
My issue is not with the food... the food is acceptable and the prices are dirt cheap... I waited 25 minutes for my food and there were only 6 people ahead of me... serious lack of professionalism. I go every now and then because it is one of the rare okay places that is open on Sundays. If I had other options, I wouldn't go just because of the customer service. Again, the food is acceptable and prices are cheap
Not a lot off choices. They always have the same everyday. The plates are pretty expensive for what they are offering. I think the place could do better and shut have delivery services as well it needs a upgrade.
It's great for takeouts, the meals are very inexpensive for a Haitian restaurant, the food tastes great compared to the other haitian places in the area. You can't eat on the spot because they don't have table service and I don't believe they have deliveries either because the cost of a meal is so cheap! Overall I really recommend this place, the crew is friendly and can make good recommendation if one's not too familiar with Haitian food!
The rice was burn,the légume has no flavour,the chicken was too salty, they putti much sugar in the homemade limonade. Overall it was discusting
Food is good but it is not the first time i come around To pick up something to eat and It's already closed. They don't respect their own schedule. They're suppose to close at 10 p.m. on Friday but at 9 p.m. they are already cleaning up the place.
Although it's kinda hard to order their food if you have no idea how it's called, the food is D E L I C O U S and it's so cheap!! Super generous portions and not expensive!! I Recommend!!
What can I say... If you think of a popular carribean/antillean dish, they must have it, in large quantities. Good for a quick meal or for catering. Be assured, it is tasty.
!!!COCKROACH ALERT!!! Unless you're all about that protein, I suggest that you do yourself a favor, and take your time and money elsewhere! My friend found a cockroach in her griot take out last night and boy, it was a big one! I don't even want to start wondering what's simmering in their Legim stew, which is what I always took when going there You really get what you pay for. Sure, 5$ is cheap for a "hearty meal", but so is their customer service with their arrogant ways: CHEAP. If look could kill..... Just, go elsewhere!
