My girlfriend and I love the Anchor Bar for their wings and their spirits. The bartenders are awesome The Waitresses are wonderful and the owners make you feel part of the family. Definitely the Five Star Event when you go to the Anchor Bar. No disappointments here. Only good food and good times to be had at Buffalo's Best Wing Place. Adding club dancing parties on certain nights, a great idea from someone like me who likes to dance will only get better. Sound proofing the room or at least investing into improvements will pay dividends for the bar. Increased revenues from this much needed platform, along with keeping the rest of the bar restaurant family friendly will ensure that this establishment will remain viable. Converting the outside seating area into a four season room to expand seating where it's attached to the special events/ nightclub room would be a plus. This place has lots of possibilities

First time here. The staff were friendly, but the wings weren't up to expectations. It took too long to get our food, during non-busy hours (50 wings). They were overcooked, crispy, and dry. The hot sauce wasn't really all that hot. And their suicide wings weren't super hot. They really need a spicier version.

We've now been here a few times, and the place is a good secondary version of the Anchor Bar. Not the same ambiance, obviously, but they put some effort into making resemble the old while creating something new. Service: not great. First problem, no napkins for people who order wings? Napkins should be ready and waiting, but they came at least 5 minutes after we were given our food. The waitress was nice and kind, but not trained well regarding attentiveness to patrons. She gave us lemons for water in a shot glass, which was fun. It seemed to me, though, that the waitstaff was not trained in being timely. Food: quite good! We had anchor bar dip and wings. The chicken in the dip was pureed. If you don't mind that consistency it was a delicious balance of creamy and saucy. The wings were delicious and the sauce was well made. They didn't meet the specs of the order (extra crispy extra saucy) but they were still a winning batch.

We were not in the restaurant during a busy time. Our waitress was friendly, however, the service and food were the worst we ever had. The food came out all at different times. They even delivered us the wrong food to begin with. They also delivered our salads after the main course. My tuna sandwich was burnt. They tried to hide the burnt piece on the bottom. The tuna was very dry and inedible. My french fries were cold. The rest of my party's food, mostly chicken wings, were horrible as well. They said it was like they cooked them earlier in the day and recooked them before serving. They left more than half uneaten. My kids would not even touch their food. In the end the manager removed my sandwich and discounted the meal some percentage. We still paid around $50 for four meals with all discounts considered. We noticed other tables calling on the manager to complain as well. I don't recall ever complaining about food in a restaurant before. This was a first and highly justifiable.
