I wanted to like it so much more than I actually did. I will say that the people working there today were the kindest restaurant employees I have ever met. Incredibly kind and checked in on me every few minutes before my food was ready. The food just wasn't the best. I had the Nasi Campur Meal with the Kurry Goreng and Panekuk. The meat was good quality but tasted like it was missing something acidic. I could tell the rice was flavorful but had no seasoning to make everything pop. The pickled red onions were just skimpy. The Goreng was decent and you could taste the homemade flavors. The Panekuk was alright but again unseasonably. Maybe it's me not being used to this food but everything tasted a bit off. It was okay.
Katsu Burger is incredible. Shushirito = magnificent. The lumpia is perfect. You literally can’t order a bad thing.
We weren't too sure about this place because we'd never had Indonesian food before, but it was so good! They had vegan options clearly marked on the menu and the food got here quickly. The flavors were subtle, balanced, and delicious. We'll definitely est here again!
RESPONSE: I had the katsu burger at whaling days and it came with a side of potato chips. Nothing else. Original Review: I was incredibly excited to have a place like Amole open up nearby and I eagerly watched for the opening during the height of the pandemic, so when I finally got to try it I was totally underwhelmed. The nasi kampur with the beef rendang was probably the least tasty rendang I've had. The meat itself was a bit tough and dry and the spices just weren't there. I decided to give them another try because so many people seem to like their katsu burgers but, again, I was left unsatisfied. There's no other flavor but the sauce that it's drenched in and the side of chips is a thoughtless addition. I would've given 3 stars but the prices are too high for what you get. Hope they can do better because I would like to see a place like this grow in Kitsap.
Absolutely delicious!!! Bf and I were blown away by the food, customer service, delivery times, and how easy it was to order off their website. All things perfect! In terms of the "what should I get?" My bf had the katsu chicken burger and i had the katsu chicken curry dish - both absolutely wonderful! Also the gyoza, lumpia, and mango cheesecake explode with flavor - best I've ever had!
Saw a picture of the salt and pepper crab on Facebook and HAD to have it. Absolutely did not disappoint. The soft shelled crab was cooked to perfection and the curried collard greens are now the only way I want to eat collard greens. My husband had the Nasi Campur meal and every bite was packed with flavor that perfectly complemented the rest of the dish. Our two year old loved the anchovies and kang kung. We also got a child's order of chicken katsu, which is always a winner and the adults barely got a taste before it was gone. I think this is a new family favorite and I'm so glad we stumbled across this recommendation. We're also huge fans of the curbside service we're outside of the delivery range.
I freaking love Amolë! I’ve been following them since the pandemic started and I had to move away right when they opened. Their food is freaking good. I cannot over state how amazing all of the flavors are! They all know where I live now, they are so kind and gracious and I love supporting them even more. I love the katsu burger I get the sauces on the side so that the bun doesn’t get soggy. The Bomb Diggity is the best of two different worlds and I’m obsessed. The gyoza is made fresh made every day and it is so damn good! The Kurry Goreng is by far, my favorite thing that I’ve had in so long. I cannot stress how flipping good it is! I always get two orders so that I don’t have to share!
the food was SO delicious, well-presented, and you’re given generous portions. we were also met with such kind service which was an added bonus to the overall high quality. my fiancé and I both agreed we found a new local favorite!
Really, really delicious food. I've never had Indonesian cuisine and this was a fantastic introduction. Will be back asap to try all of it. Truly no-contact, too; they put the food right into my trunk.
We ordered delivery for Valentine’s Day and everything from the delivery, presentation, to taste was outstanding. Loved the chicken katsu Curry and mango cheesecake! We will be ordering again soon.
