I am not exaggerating when I say they have the best chicken wings in town! The food was delicious! Service was amazing! I love their brisket! And ribs! I read one of the owners response on one of the reviews, and they mentioned that they are very selective with their products and quality, and I could confirmed that today, everything taste high quality meat! Very happy to experience that now days!! 100% recommended!!
The food was very delicious! The whole family enjoyed their meals and we had leftovers. The restaurant was very clean and the staff were friendly. We will definitely be back if we pass by Meaford again.
I will start by saying, we were given a full refund for our take out meal. We ordered a small Greek salad, The Big stack burger, a side order of fries and a side of Gravy. The bill came to $57 , I gave a tip for the person packing the order. Paid and waited roughly half hr to 40 min for it. The issue stated when the order was picked up. I was handed a med size container, which I assume was the burger, a small container for the salad and a ridiculous size mini Gravy. I asked where the side order of fries was, and told they were in the burger container. Basically a few fries, and not what we expected when ordering a side of fries. Since it was a take out, meal I was expecting cutlery and napkins and possibly salt and pepper and maybe a bag to carry the meal in. The young man was surprised I needed the things mentioned. I explained, its take out.. which means we don't have cutlery etc with us as we were eating at the harbor. He then finally produced a bag, cutlery, 2 napkins and there was no salt and pepper packets left. He seemed very busy, so I offered to package my order myself and left. When we did stop to eat, my husband opened the burger container, and found a huge mess of a burger. The bacon was hardly cooked, and the tipping point was the bun was burnt! Not toasted, flat out burnt. The side of fries was ridiculous. I have no problem paying $57 for a burger, side of fries and a small salad. BUT expected quality with quantity. The 3 burger patties seemed to be the Shnieders brand of thick pre frozen patties. Not good quality beef for a burger at that price point. We have never returned a meal at a restaurant. But this was an expensive burger that was not even edible because of the burnt bun. We drove back to the restaurant and returned the meal. There was a different person running the take out window, who refunded the entire amount. We have had delicious pizzas here before and realized that is their specialty. Lesson learned. Just do not expect a premium quality burger in the Big Stacked burger. Although very small, the Greek salad was very good.
Amici's is by far the best place to eat in Meaford, for many reason. 1. SERVICE -The staff are wonderful , friendly, and knowledgeable, they know their menu and know what to suggest. 2. FOOD-The chefs and cooks are extremely talented ,they make wonderful food , not just outstanding pizza, again,the menu has many other items to select from which are absolutely delicious. 3.ATMOSPHERE-Friendly atmosphere, great for families, for a date night, or to have a meal with friends or co-workers. 4. PRICING-The pricing, is completely reasonable, considering how wonderful the service,atmosphere,and food are. 5. PERSONAL EXPERIENCE -When I was friendly with and spent alot of time working and hanging out at a nearby business, we got Amicis for lunch everyday and we never once had a meal we picked up for take out and brought back that wasn't freshly made, and amazingly cooked. You get the quality of the complete restaurant food experience even if you order take out and in most places that isn't always the case. *Wonderful, friendly,competent and efficient staff, excellent menu with a large variety and the best pizza in town, excellent atmosphere...overall 5 stars!!!!*
I am usually a fan of Amici, but I can’t get passed what took place tonight. We ordered fish and chips and a Caesar salad. Fish and Chips were great as usual $21 for two haddock pieces, fries, coleslaw and tartar sauce – good value I think. For the Caesar salad order, you have three choices – Personal $10, Regular $15, Large $19.50. All are pretty expensive but, hey you gotta love a good Caesar… and therin lies the problem. We ordered the “Regular” Caesar. What we got was about 3 or 4 oz of romaine with a little dressing, a piece of lemon and a coupe of croutons… FOR $15 !! Seriously look at the attached photo. The “personal” size must come in a thimble. The Regular is at best a salad for one and the price is ridiculous. I know how to calculate cost of goods, overhead and profit and THIS for $15 is ridiculously out of touch with any kind of fair pricing. When I picked it up, I remarked that the salad seemed expensive and the counter person said “Romaine is expensive”. Ummm… I could buy 4 full heads of Romaine at retail for $15 .. okay, maybe 3. Either way there is no way this pricing is fair. We won’t make that mistake twice and I advise all others NOT to buy the salad either. Amici, you should correct this. Look at the value you provide for the entire Fish and Chips dish… yet you charge this much for a few ounces of lettuce. C’mon.
Food was great and I had a variety of it. Service was okay but food came out pretty fast. Overall pizza is good quality and the wings were tasty.
We had a the smoke burgers and fries for takeout. The burger was preformed, dried out, tasting like it had been in a freezer for months. The cook overdid this already dry patty It was as tasty as a burnt hockey puck.The condiments like lettuce had turned slimy under the burger .Fries were not home cut, salty and slightly undercooked. For this inedible food, we were charged $45. Save your money and go to McDonald’s next door for a tasty, cheaper burger.
I had dinner there with my Sister, Neice and her family 3 children, the meals and service were fantastic! We were loud & messy and had the best interactions with the boss himself! Would definately recommend for dine in or take-out. You won't be disappointed!
We are up here on vacation and decided to have some pizza for lunch. My wife said we should grab something quick from Little Caesar's, I said no. I want some mom and pop type pizza. Glad we stopped in here. We had a meat lovers and the BBQ chicken and both were delicious. Toppings were fresh and sauce to crust ratio was spot on. The BBQ sauce wasn't piled on thick like some other joints do it, it was just right. The staff was friendly and chatty while we waited for our pizza. 5 stars in my books and anytime we are in the area we will be sure to stop in to try something different off their menu.
If ever your craving comfort food but don't want the hassle of cooking it yourself look no futher then the 5 star amazing staff here at Amici Meaford, They take the time to prepare each meal with extea attention and put their all into making sure your satisfaction is blown outta the limits and nothing is better then comfort food when its made by this amazing staff.
