My mom lived there for about 3 years and through COVID. The staff in her unit were above excellent. They remain in my thoughts for the love and care they have to my mom.
The staff are truly amazing in that they are caring, thoughtful, friendly and always have the resident's care, comfort and safety as their primary concerns. My mother moved in to Amica Thornhill in March, 2013 and absolutely loves the facility and the staff. It was the best decision our family made in that it gives us peace of mind knowing our mother will be among peers and will always have necessary care.
My mom moved to Amica Thornhill 11 years ago.nI highly recommend this retirement home.nThe staff and management are professionals, friendly and approachable, they always help with a smile, they are loving, caring and dedicated.nThe staff support residents with dignity, warmth and treat them as their family.nThe place is well maintained and clean.nEach day there are many activities to address different interests.nFamily members are updated often and any concern a family member has is addressed.nAmica is an amazing place to stay.
Our experience with Amica Thornhill has been exceptional. The Community Relations Managers were very thorough in explaining what Amica has to offer, the different levels of care and the related fees. They were always readily available and answered all our questions promptly. They went beyond the call of duty to enable my father's admission with on-site family support. We always felt heard regarding our concerns and wishes for our family member. We appreciated that we worked as a team to create my father’s personalized care plan which addressed his complex needs. We have continued input with staff regarding day-to-day matters that can improve his quality of life even further. My father is treated with respect, patience and genuine caring. All staff listen and do their utmost to make requests happen. We are most pleased with the quality of care our family member is receiving. To live out one’s senior years in such a welcoming and beautiful environment is a blessing. Thank you Amica Thornhill!
Amica Thornhill has shown great care and concern for their residents throughout this pandemic. They were testing visitors VERY early on, in an attempt to keep everyone safe. While the dining room is closed for safety, they continue to provide delicious meals to their residents in their apartments. I'm very impressed with care my Mom is getting.
