Really bad customer service every time. Tried fixing a balance that was an error in billing between the hospital & insurance. They were not understanding, nor did they want to work with me. They threatened to report negatively on my credit score even though I was working with both my insurance & hospital billing to get it squared away unless I started making payments right away. That said, I agreed to make some payments while things were getting worked out in the mean time to avoid the whole credit score reporting. Their website is horrible. When you click pay my bill and proceed to log in - once you are logged in there is absolutely NO option to make a payment. You are forced to call directly at which that point they tell you to make a payment online. The first time this happened they said their system was "updating" to log back in & out a few times. After the third time the option to make a payment all of a sudden appeared. Next month rolls around, I log in from my PC to make my payment... NO OPTION TO MAKE A PAYMENT - AGAIN. Log back in and out multiple times. Still can't make a payment so I try it from my phone... NO option to make a payment. So frustrating. For a company that wants your money so bad they make it awfully hard to let you pay & are not very kind.

You have to remember that you can challenge anything on your credit report. If you do this through the reporting agency (Experian, TransUnion, etc) they have to write to the agency responsible for putting it there if they do not answer back in I believe thirty days it has to come off your report. I did this and a lot of stuff was removed. Now remember you have to dispute this with all agencies not just one if they report to all three dispute all three.

OK I am ok with paying this doctor bill but they keep dinging my credit twice per month even though I'm doing my best to find and send a timely monthly payment. No other collection agency is doing this to me. I fell on hard times, lots of bills and two other bills in collection and paying them monthly as well as others not in collection. If I need to find a new job and can't get hired cause of bad credit Americollect will have to accept $0. from me cause that's all I'll have. Would give NO stars if I can.

between the scam medical companies this collection company represents and their absolutely poor handling of accounts...if you find yourself having to deal with them make sure to challenge your credit reports to dispute their collections because quite often they will remove the collection from your report and the agency will be stuck without a penny. Also make sure to tell them never to call you and remove all phone numbers from their records. It takes a little work but saves you money in the long run. NEVER PAY THEM A PENNY!!!!
