We had a wonderful dining experience at New Amaya Real Indian Food. The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the service was excellent. Our server, Karm, was very polite and attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout our meal.nnWe ordered Chicken Lollipop, Veg Pakoras, Chicken Vindaloo, Dal Makhani, Garlic Naan, Butter Naan, and Lacha Paratha, along with Masala Coke. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful. The Chicken Lollipop and Veg Pakoras were crispy and delicious, making for a great start to our meal. The naan and parathas were fresh, soft, and complemented the dishes well.nnHowever, we were expecting the Chicken Vindaloo and Dal Makhani to be spicier, as our server mentioned, but they turned out to be quite sweet instead. While they were still tasty, we were a little disappointed as we were looking forward to the authentic spice level of these dishes.nnThat said, the overall experience was enjoyable, and we truly appreciated the great service and welcoming atmosphere. We would love to visit again and try more dishes in the future!

We decided to celebrate our anniversary with dinner at Amaya since I usually enjoy their Indian food. However, our last visit was quite disappointing.nnWe ordered fish fry, chicken tandoori leg piece, chicken tikka curry, naan, and rice. Unfortunately, the fish fry was not up to the mark. The chicken tandoori leg piece had no salt, and when I informed the server, instead of replacing or fixing the dish, they just handed me salt. That was quite an unexpected and disappointing response.nnThe chicken tikka curry tasted exactly like the veg Manchurian gravy, with no distinct flavor. It felt like a generic sauce rather than an authentic curry.nnI genuinely hope Amaya maintains the taste and quality of its food so that regular customers like me don’t get disappointed, especially on special occasions.nnPlease work on consistency!
Absolutely amazing and authentic. #1 in Barrie. Manu provided excellent service. Polite, receptive and prompt. The kitchen was fast and food was hot. Spices were on point. Very authentic.nnWe enjoyed the Tikka Masala chicken, Lamb Biryani, fish pakora, and garlic cilantro naan. Both were amazing. For dessert we had the Glub-Jub special and it was 10/10.nnOverall we recommend this restaurant and it is our new spot for authentic Indian food in Barrie.
