This was an awesome lunch! I’ve never had donair before, but this was super tasty! Like a gyro, but better! Loved the sweet sauce as well.
Stopped here while working in Peace River and will definitely go back when I’m there again. Food was great and prices were very fair. Chicken wrap, fries & a pop for under $20. Also dude was running the place by himself during a lunch rush and was getting food out fresh, hot and on time. Someone ahead of me ordered the donair poutine and it looked amazing. I’m getting it next time.
I have not had a Donair in a long time-when I was looking up Peace River restaurants I saw Alz as highly ranked, and they did not disappoint one bit! Got the jumbo Donair and it was almost too much for lunch-a great mix of sauce and veggies to go with a lot of Donair meat! Meat had a nice kick to it but not too spicy. Al and staff were super friendly! Will come back if in Peace River again, 5 stars hands down!

I’m a big fan of donair, having tried dozens of donair places in Calgary, Edmonton, and Grande Prairie, Alz has the BEST chicken donair out of all. It’s very fresh, flavourful, and everything is perfectly balanced. Surprised by this hidden gem in a northern small town! Wait time is a bit longer than average but call in advance or definitely worth the wait! Just try it!!!!!
This is a simple donair place with a great product. I was thinking of giving 5 stars but it is a small place without much restaurant experience. Also, could be open more. I dont mind that, but you might. But make no mistake. Their donairs are fantastic
MAN!!! Al'z Donairs are the real deal! Everything from the wraps, to the freshness of the veggies, to the INSANE GOOD Sauce!!! Oh yeah, the meat is incredible too. Eating these donairs makes you want to be a better person. You don't want dessert because you want the aftertaste to last as long as possible! If you're in Peace River, or can find a reasonable excuse to go, then drive by every franchise fast food joint and go see Al!
Would never recommend attending this place. The food counter attendant was talking over 2 phone while making a shawarma. 15 min to wait till he finishes talking and starts your order. Looks like this place not only serves donairs but fixes gadgets Ipads, notebooks and old phones all around. Attendant never used gloves when cooked the donair - I don't even speak about mask during COVID. But touching his phones and earphones and the pita after - that 's gross.
Donair here is amazing. Al is always super welcoming and super chill. Food is always hot and fresh.
AL is friendly and very accommodating. His Donar's are the bomb! I have never had any other donar close to his. I am pretty sure he makes every single one with love.
