Great sandwiches with good portion sizes! Add a retro diner feel with friendly, helpful staff, and you've got Alumni Sandwiches. The menu is great value and if you want to call ahead, you can get curbside pickup of your meal. Definitely worth a visit. Also, happy hour is 3-6pm with cheap beer and cocktails $4-5... Enjoy!Food: 5/5

A breath of fresh air. This quirky little place serves quality drinks and food for a very good price. The drinks were well done and their prices crush the competition. The fried mozzarella, the sandwiches and the apple pie were all amazing. The staff was nice and the bartender was very tentative.  I highly recommend this as a great hangout spot and date night spot that doesn’t break the bank but provides a fun experience and good quality.

We had a quick stop here, not knowing how it is. The place is beautiful, the staff is very welcoming and friendly! The guy behind the corner was super nice, he made me a tasty drink. Me and my husband order a meatball sub and the Dagwood, both delicious. And the Parmesan fries  On these I have a little suggestion: less paprika, more Parmesan and for me they will be perfect . And the sauces  We will come back for sure!

So me and my family went to Alumni sandwiches on The 28th and let me tell you. It was spectacular. One of the best sandwiches I have had in a LONG time. I had the Roasted Turkey & Brie and it was to die for. My husband and step dad had the Dagwood. They LOVED it.  I recommend this place if your looking for a great sandwich shop.  The only thing that I would say was not up to par was that the next day we went and go some more sandwiches but we ordered them online for pick up. They were very empty compared to the sit in ones we had. So if you go, go and sit in! Much better than ordering curb side. Still a 10/10 sandwich.

In my opinion this is the best chicken burger in the city. The chicken burger was very balanced and not too oily from the chicken nor too sour/hot from the pickles/hot sauce. The fries were also very nice, and the portion size was big.

Very cute diner interior.  I ordered over the phone for a specific pickup time - sandwich was ready when I arrived.  I had the roast beef dip - so good!  The hero roll was very fresh even after rewarming in the oven and the flavours were spot on.  I recommend for eat in and take out!  I’ll be back.

Saw this place while walking downtown and thought we’d try it out. I had the Chicken Parmesan. It was so tasteful and had just the right amount of lime zest with every bite and it was just SO good! Portion size and prices were reasonable. Our waitress was also very friendly and welcoming. Overall a great experience and will definitely be back another time.

I had the hot chicken sandwich. Full spice.  Great portion of protein. Very crunchy and flavorful. Fast prepared. Very friendly staff.  -1 star: Way too greasy as you can see on those pictures. The bottom bread is literally soaked in chili oil.  -1 star: 13 dollars for a pricey burger. I’m expecting a bit more than crunchy. Maybe adding a foil wrap like Popeyes. Coleslaw is not impressive.  Generally, it’s pretty good but not the best chicken sandwich in Calgary like other reviewers said.

I recently visited this restaurant and tried their chicken burger sandwich, and I must say, it was absolutely amazing! The restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, which made the experience even better. The chicken burger sandwich was cooked to perfection - the chicken was juicy and tender, and the breading was crispy and flavourful. Highly recommended and the chicken sandwich is a must try.

It was a long time coming to check out this spot. Great atmosphere, and the food was more then just your average sandwich shop. It was exceptional!  We shared the dagwood, mozzarella sticks, and pickles. All great! Love me a good dagwood sandwich! I will be coming back
