Not recommended. In fact, avoid at all costs. We hired these people to install an aluminum window in a brick wall, and they totally, completely botched the job. We had to hire a second company to completely re-do the work, then sue Aluminum Brossard in Small Claims Court to pay for it. We won. They send workers who obviously knew nothing about brick walls to do the work. They cut a hole with a saw that was about a foot too big, then installed a frame that was too deep, then covered it all up with sheet aluminum. When we started getting ice on the inside walls and investigated the problem, we discovered that they had left holes on either side of the window completely open to the outside air, covered up with a strip of aluminum. Their response: we should have installed a heater under the window to prevent ice from forming! We hired a construction inspector to evaluate the job, and the written report was damning... the job was completely, totally botched and would have to be redone from scratch. We sent three mise en demeures to these people, and every time they did nothing but blame us for their incompetent work. We hired a different company to completely redo the work and sued Aluminum Brossard. At the trial, the owner repeatedly lied to the judge under oath. The judge lectured him for 20 minutes. We won the case, a judgement of about $5000. *** Update June 2011. As you can see, the owner, John Davidson is a liar. He lied under oath in court, and he is lying here again. Lie 1: He says he didn't have a chance to correct the work. Fact: He was sent three (!) mise en demeure by registered mail demanding he fix the botched installation. He refused, saying in writing he would rather let the tribunal (small claims court) decide. This is a matter of public record. Lie 2: He says "The homeowner would not let him go on his property to do his work." Fact: I have a photograph of the installer on the property. The guy showed up and did nothing except blame the customer for the botched job. Stay away!!
