The staff and treatment at Altima Physio were better than I could have expected. Richa and Renee were lovely; always friendly and very knowledgeable. The office environment was great and I was never kept waiting for my appointment to begin. Thanks to my treatments, I am now back in the gym and pushing weight again. Altima was referred to me and I have referred others to them.
I've been a patient at Altima physio for almost 20 years! Jason has been my primary physiotherapist but I get great care regardless of who I see. From physio to massage to recently chiropractic I know the staff at Altima will take great care of me! I have always had great results and I enjoy the friendly atmosphere.
I had a great experience with Altima, working primarily with Richa and Rene. They were always professional, friendly and welcoming. I had numbness down my arm and hand from a pinched nerve in my neck. After just a month of seeing these ladies, I started to get feeling back, and after 3 months the numbness was completely gone. I am truly forever grateful to them that I can now pick up my toddler with no worry and play with my 5 year old with no pain. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone in need, they really made a difference in my life. Thank you again
David and the team at Altima were great to work with. Consistently on time with appointments, personable and worked great as a team. Really helped me recover and left me with tips and exercises to avoid a relapse. Thanks Altima!

In September 2021, my dad had a severe proximal humerus fracture of his left shoulder that required hemiarthroplasty surgery. The surgeon prescribed physiotherapy as part of the recovery process, but we did not have any experience with physiotherapy so had no idea where to go. As it was a complex surgery, it was important for me to find a reliable physiotherapist to ensure my dad had the best chance of recovery. I relied on Google Reviews to find two options in Milton that had strong ratings. I called both, spoke directly to the physiotherapists and asked questions to see if they had experience in treating post-surgery hemiarthroplasty. At Altima, I spoke with Dave Bennett. Although I had good phone calls for both locations, the reason I picked Altima was because Dave asked questions specific to the shoulder injury and coincidentally knew the surgeon's name. It gave me an indication that he would listen to my dad's situation. I had prepared myself that if my dad was not comfortable during the first visit then we would try the other location. From Day 1, Dave got along really well with my dad. I attended the visits with my dad and noted how Dave would listen to our concerns and explain things to us. He followed the guidelines the surgeon left in the post-surgery outline and used his own experience as well. He always made sure my dad was comfortable. We went twice weekly and the sessions were around 40 mins 30 mins for the main session that included a shoulder / arm massage + 10 mins for the vibrator / heat treatment. As my dad was in a sling for the first month, the beginning sessions were focused on making sure he got movement back in his wrist and lower part of his arm. Dave also provided at-home exercises that we could print out and we bought the necessary equipment from Altima, such as shoulder pulley, exercise ball, and therabands. The focus then shifted to range of motion of the upper arm, which combined with Dave’s massage were critical in range of motion improvements. Whenever my dad would articulate where the pain was, Dave would massage that area. Additionally, when we had the follow-up appointments with the surgeon, Dave provided a progress report which we showed to the surgeon who then wrote some comments which we provided back to Dave. Also, whenever we would articulate that there were certain basic tasks that my dad was having difficulty with at home e.g. reaching for a glass of water, Dave would alter his exercises to focus on that area which showed improvement. Dave then shifted to include strength exercises using the cable machine system. On a few occasions where Dave was unavailable, the other two physiotherapists stepped in i.e. Jason Paquette and Richa Singh. It was interesting to see that everyone had different techniques that they used yet were all competent. About 11 months in, Jason was substituting as he was very experienced with different techniques for the cable exercises - my dad and I were so impressed and when we communicated this, Dave offered that weekly we could do one session with him for the range of motion / massage + one session with Jason for the cable exercises. This worked out extremely well as my dad was able to get the best of both worlds. Each week, Jason would find some new techniques for my dad to try, ranging from various cable exercises to improve the strength and playing catch to improve reflex action. The other members of Altima were also very helpful, from the interns who helped put on the shoulder tape at the end of the session to the receptionists who would book the appointments Areaj in particular. Overall, I am extremely pleased and thankful to Altima for their hard work with my dad's recovery process. Although he has a permanent limitation and will not achieve full recovery, the surgeon was happy with his progress over 1.5 years and he complimented the physiotherapists. I would highly recommend Altima to anyone and we will go back to them for any future needs.
I am pleased to write a review for Altima Physio and their exceptional sports injury rehabilitation programs. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The physiotherapist, Dave, and the kinesiologist Jason are highly knowledgeable and skilled in sports injury rehabilitation. They provided me with exceptional advice on how to effectively recover from my injury. What impressed me the most was Altima Physio's special service of emailing exercises to patients, which was incredibly helpful as it allowed me to continue my rehabilitation at home. The exercises were tailored to my specific needs and were designed to gradually improve my strength and mobility. Through Altima Physio's rehabilitation program and Dave and Jason's expertise, I was able to make a full recovery and get back to my active lifestyle. I would highly recommend Altima Physio to anyone who is in need of sports injury rehabilitation services. Overall, I had an exceptional experience with Altima Physio, and I appreciate their dedication to helping their patients achieve their goals. Thank you, Altima Physio, and thank you, Dave and Jason, for your exceptional service and advice.
I love the friendly staff at Altima and the top-notch physiotherapy. I have had good experiences working on my forearm after surgery and my neck after whiplash from a vehicle accident. The massage therapy has also been very effective. Yeah, 2022 was a bad year for me but thanks to Altima I've recovered quickly.!
Recently had some physio and have been a couple of times to Altima Physiotherapy in the past and always successful in the outcome. Staff are excellent and overall a very positive experience. Would definitely recommend Altima Physiotherapy for sure…
