Alta Bistro is an amazing restaurant and anyone who has been would share that sentiment, but this review is specifically for their "adventure restaurant"; their exceptional catering team who cook incredible food out of an Airstream. You guys are INCREDIBLE! If anyone is looking for an incredible meal for an event or wedding, especially if you're 'off the grid', the adventure restaurant and their incredible team will not disappoint! The meal was seriously so fresh, creative and delicious we had multiple reviews saying from friends that it was one of the best meals they've ever had, not "wedding meals", meals - and it was prepared and cooked on site! We have been to other weddings that they have catered, and the quality was equally as good. I have recommended them to other friends getting married next year in the Sea-to-Sky and can't wait for them to enjoy what we got to! Their staff is friendly and thoughtful and seriously made our wedding the special event that it was! Thank you so much catering team - you guys are THE BEST!
Went for the three course special and it was a great decision. Everything tasted amazing and ingredients were top notch. Nice twist on French cuisine with BC focused ingredients. The staff is super nice and the atmosphere is lively. The Gin and Tonic was one of the best I’ve had. Will come back during my next trip to Whistler
What an incredible dining experience! This was my husband’s favourite meal on our entire west coast trip. The 3 course meal was a fun way to treat ourselves to an incredible evening, and we enjoyed every dish. The elk tartare is a standout, as well as both of our delicious entrees duck and pork! Highly recommend.
I have to say that I don’t normally give outstanding kudos to places but hands down this is by far my favourite restaurant in Whistler! My GF and I were just blown away during their 3 course meal they had in June, 2022 at this writing. From the friendly and super amazing service, to the cocktails that were seriously outstanding and a seriously skilled mixologist is making these to the just breathtaking meals and every dish looked beautiful and tasted even better. I wish I could give 10 stars. If you come to whistler And especially stay at the Pinnacle Hotel do NOT miss out on this unique and amazing restaurant! You can thank me later lol, Cheers all!
The restaurant doesn’t have “normal” menus in a good way!. We really enjoyed a lot of kicks and tweaks. I swear the dishes look so much better in person as it was quite dark inside and my old iPhone couldn’t get the best pics.
Chef's Menu and cocktails were delectable! I particularly loved the fresh oysters, elk tartare, and Mass 'A' Peel drink. We will be back!
Lovely spot with unique food, attentive service, and peaceful outdoor dining. Thrilled with our two three course dinners, dishes were boundary pushing and distinctly not boring. Our servers were lovely and kept us well taken care of - easily my favorite meal in Whistler Village. Chocolate blueberry mousse pictured
Food was great but do need to get accustom to. My friend didn't like it as much because they had a bit of bitterness to them. Definitely worth trying if you want something different.Food: 4/5
Great service and food! The seared albacore tuna and octopus dishes were packed full of flavour and cooked perfectly. A lot of unique flavours and pairings. Keep an eye out for the rotational daily specials on the chalkboard. A must try if you're in Whistler, I can't wait to come back to try the other dishes.
Quick Summary Excellent food and service in an intimate but lively environment. Ordered the chef's menu with a 5 course meal. Try to make a reservation, especially on weekends Food- 5 stars The chef's menu came with a 5 course meal, which were all small plates fine dining style. It was a great way to try out most of the menu and saved a bit of money compared to ordering a la carte. It came with the brandade and white anchovy on toast, rangeland elk tartare, rainbow trout, rangeland elk striploin, and a chocolate dessert. Everything was delicious and well plated. Cocktails- 5 stars Tried the yuzu cocktail and the maple old fashioned. The yuzu was a bit too sweet, However, the maple old fashioned was very well made especially enjoyed the maple infused popcorn which provided a terrific scent Service- 5 stars Excellent service as staff were very friendly and attentive. Ambiance- 5 stars Intimate and lively dining experience. Perfect for any dinner occassion Bottom Line Fantastic dinner spot if you're located in the Village. Make a reservation, especially on weekends
