Don’t get me wrong, I see their passion and dedication on making, baking and providing healthier bakeries to their customers. Using organic products and being a role model for the environment, they earned my respect. The bakery is blanketed with the aroma of coffee and warmth of breads. It feels welcoming and soothing. If only they tasted as awesome as they smelled. But that’s the opinion coming from an omnivore. Their sourdoughs are pretty decent, but their sweets are kinda dull. Coffees are pretty nice.
There are several things I really like about this store - that they're open on Saturday, the friendly service, the freshness of food, the uniqueness of products, and that there are healthy food options. What I don't love - steep prices, short hours, a little distance away from the core downtown. Having said that, I will definitely try to squeeze in another visit during my time here. They have about 2 parking spaces, but lots of street parking around. Washroom is really clean. The staff are pretty efficient at clearing the tables after a party leaves.
Great little bakery, cozy atmosphere. A small dine in section. Tastes great but not a huge variety of times; mostly savory baked goods. Efficient service. I like that they sell a lot of locally produced stuff too!
Even though I didn’t take any food picture while i was there but let me tell you very honestly that they have so so so much of bakery goods that you will have hard time deciding on what you want to eat. Everything is freshly baked in brick oven so imagine the freshness and taste. For sure its not regular grocery store so prices are little on higher end. Not too too expensive though. I tried pumpkin spice latte which is very creamy and flavourful , a person next to my table was raving all about the yellow spice turmeric latte. Apple strudel i had just melted in my mouth and i am guessing that their all time famous is onion, rosemary, walnut bun as not only me but almost every other person bought it. They also have customized chocolates with engraving of thank you and happy birthday. Staff is very pleasing and helpful. You can use wifi and sit inside or outside on their patio which is like litle garden with benches to sit and eat. Clean bathroom. Baskets and dairy to purchase too. Homemade yogurt, dips and spreads can be purchased from here.
I would recommend every tourists to visit this restaurant. The food was awesome and freshly prepared. If you are an South Indian, please try tomato chutney bun.
Nice cozy cafe in the heart of the town. The food is great although a bit expensive. The soup is an amazing choice for every tourist dealing with the North Canadian winter for the first time in their life. Pro tip: they do have wifi, which is not easily found at every place in that town.
Delicious panini, excellent cinnamon bun, and chocolate nut bun. I will definitely be back.
They say "everything without a red sticker is vegan". But it is not true. If you are vegan, make sure to double or triple check whether what you are ordering is actually vegan.
The staff will welcome you with a smile and a really wide variety of breads, hot drinks and baked goods. There was a line of locals but no crowd. Their poppy seed roll is a bundle of joy and deliciousness. The flavors are perfectly balanced, not too sweet, fluffy and light. Definitely a must when in town.
Cozy bakery with delicious baked goods. The yogurt and granola bowl was really fresh and an ideal breakfast. Would love to go again and try more things!
