Alpha International Academy, an affiliate of St.Lawrence College, offers St.Lawrence College programs and ESL courses to international students in Toronto.

Story

St. Lawrence College @ Alpha offers quality education in a challenging yet student friendly environment. Following the St. Lawrence curriculum, each semester is designed to meet the challenges unique to international students and exceed academic expectations through a combination of theory and hands on experience. We offer smaller class size allowing efficient teacher-student interaction, flexible instruction hours and affordable tuition fees. Convenient payment options are available to cater to our students’ financial needs.

Mission

To promote a metropolitan experience to international students, St. Lawrence College and Alpha International Academy in Toronto formed a partnership in August 2008. This arrangement has brought a range of benefits to students including social proximity, cultural diversity, convenience, more job options and the wealth of cultural assets Toronto has to offer.

I would like to thank the entire faculty Instructor Mann, Placement Coordinator Danny, Manager McCormack, Academic Team members, Recruitment Manager Parajuli…, from the bottom of my heart, for their unwavering support throughout my PSW program. I feel truly blessed to have learned under such dedicated and amazing staff.nInstructor Mann was exceptionally knowledgeable, responsible, conscientious, and supportive. Though a bit tough at times, she was always fair and nurturing. She shared a wealth of knowledge and skills, and consistently encouraged me to overcome learning barriers. Her teaching was both effective and efficient, and I am deeply grateful for the growth I achieved under her guidance.nI also truly appreciate the persistence and dedication of our placement coordinator Danny. He supported us in countless ways—meeting us during in-person lab visits, visiting our placement sites, and even bringing us PPE. Thanks to his efforts, our placement experience was not only practical and meaningful but also unforgettable and invaluable. Even after my graduation, he generously continued to provide me with information about PSW job opportunities.nI am equally grateful for the guidance and support of Manager McCormack during the final stretch of my program and as I took the important first steps into my career.nWith my own determination, combined with the commitment and dedication of the Alpha College staff, I was able to achieve the best results possible. As a PSW student at Alpha College, my experience has been incredibly positive. The academic instruction was thorough and engaging, the hands-on labs were well-organized, and the support services were always available when needed. My placement was meaningful and aligned perfectly with what I learned in class. I truly felt supported every step of the way, both academically and professionally. Highly recommend Alpha College for anyone pursuing a career in personal support work!

I did psw course at Alpha College… the course and professor were good… but the placement was very bad experience… the person in charge of placement is very rude… unfair… racist… and unprofessional… he does not treat all students the same… he has favorites and if you are not his favorite he will make everything more hard for you… he forces you to follow only his way… if you try to explain he will argue… he makes things more complicated on purpose even when requirements are finished… he talks down to students and shows no respect… very discriminatory behavior… I was shocked the college hired someone like this… placement is supposed to support students but he makes it like a punishment… it was very difficult dealing with him… only by God’s grace I graduated… course itself is not hard… placement is not hard… but because of him it becomes a big stress… very unprofessional and unfair placement coordinator…
INTERNATIONAL STUDENT BEWARE IN PSW COURSE there is job placement part. You must finish all requirement. But the person who is in charge is very bad. Even after you do everything correct, he still try show off and make it seem like you are wrong. He call you out in front other people. He is rude and make problem for student. He even give false information and fail students even when they do correct work. It happened to me and my classmates too. Very stressful.
