This place!!!!! I love how they have variety flavors of their salmon & tuna and they let you taste test before. All the workers are so friendly and their poke bowls are so delicious. I’ve been bringing my friends over since I discovered this place. Everyone should go try out their poke bowls! & I will be back again soon to try different dishes on their menu-
If you're considering this place, stop and just go. Went here for lunch with my family, oh my lord what a decision. I'm a sushi guy, I love me some poke and rice, and this place is one of the best places in Edmonton for such dishes. I had the poke burrito, it was a giant sushi roll essential, served with wonton chips, and it was the happiest I have ever been eating at a restaurant. Very reasonably priced, the poke is fresh everyday and you can sample the different flavors they offer. I had the crunchy garlic poke and it was heaven. Silky smooth, slightly sweet, just the right amount of garlic. The whole restaurant has an intoxicating smell, once you step in, it wraps itself around you and immediately gets you hooked. The other dishes my family ordered were drool worthy, too. The pork belly and cashew chicken looked like a dish right out of a high end restaurant. If I could give an additional 5 stars to this review, I'd do it in a heart beat. I will most certainly be back! 10/5 Vegetarian options: This place is geared more towards pescetarians and not lacto/ovo vegetarians. If you like fish, this is the place.
Dined in twice, had takeout once -- all in our first week of discovering Aloha. Highly recommend the loco moco, chicken katsu, and kimchi fried rice. Staff are super friendly. Will keep recommending friends visit. : Skip delivery fee is high maybe this is just because of where I live? -- food is worth the dine-in visit.
Great food and great customer service. I just went in for the first time and the person who helped me was so kind and lovely and explained the flavours and options to me. It was nice to be able to try a sample before committing. Flavours on point, warm fluffy rice was perfection. Will be back!
I like.poke bowls quite a bit but Aloha has a different system so it took me a minute to decide what I wanted, the good thing is that they offer samples to help you make up your mind. There are quite a few options so that's always great. Friendly and prompt service so if I'm ever in the area again I will stop by for another bowl.
So so delicious! All the poke flavours are so tasty, perfect size portions and very very friendly staff. Finally came to dine in today and very cute decor! #1 poke place for sure.
First time here, won’t be the last. Really hidden gem of a place. We ordered the Mainland Style Poke Bowls. See photo for what you get. Food tasted really good, especially the spicy seaweed flavour. You get a hefty amount of fish portion and it’s reasonably priced.
So happy to finally make my way here. It's been 3 years since we've been to Hawaii and had a serious craving for poke and other poke shops in Edmonton just didn't cut it. It's almost criminal how bad the poke scene is in Edmonton but thankfully Aloha is here to save us from accepting mediocre poke. Service here was great, staff are friendly and you can tell they have a passion for their food. Our guy helped us patiently while we curated our meal as we wanted it to take us back to Hawaii. My poke bowl was delicious, with generous servings of rice and tuna. This is the best I've eaten in Edmonton. Several variations are available in tuna and salmon and it was the toughest decision I've had to make. It must have felt like a lifetime for the poor guy waiting to take my order and the anxiety started to kick in and I blindly ordered a random flavour to which I completely forgot what it was. I kid you not, it was tougher than showing up for my first prostate examination. Whatever the flavour was, it was like being back in Waikiki and all was right in the world. My wife ordered the Loco Moco and it was a glorious mess of rice, ground beef patties, fried eggs, gravy and a side of Hawaiian mac salad. It reminded me of a Hawaiian style salisbury steak on crack. This was a huge entree and we couldn't possibly finish it and had to take the leftovers home. Surprising star of the meal was the humble musubi. We decided to try the upgraded version and ordered it deep-fried. Wrapped in nori, coated in panko, deep-fried then drizzled in a spicy mayo, it was like taking an umami filled nuke packet straight into the carotid artery. The crunchy exterior mixed with the chewy rice and tender spam, it was a journey of textures. This was probably the most amazing thing we've eaten in recent memory and if Aloha ever stops serving these, there will be riots. I would highly recommend trying Aloha out. The poke and musubi alone are worth the trip
Delicious! I’ve never had a poke bowel like this before. Asked staff for their recommendation for a dish and they did not disappoint. Had the salmon poke bowel with spicy mayo, cucumber, and wonton chips. They selected the sides for me to offset the spicy and it was perfect. Highly recommended - if you’re good with raw fish :
Amazing food! A little bit of Hawaiian and a little bit of Filipino food, so good! The all day breakfast, grilled menu and poke nachos were delicious. Plus the spicey deep fried Masubi is a a must
