Your typical Ma & Pa grocery store. I love it here! Rarely any lines, very quiet. Some prices are higher, some lower, so things even out. You may NOT find some specialty items, but then again, you may be surprised! Awesome neighborhood friendly store!
We love going to Hy-Vee when we are in the area. They have a great selection of items especially their health food section at the New Hope store. Plus my wife loves the fact she can charge her hybrid car there while we shop!
Rockford Road Library loves our friend and neighbor, Almstead's! Look at the adorable cake they made for our Harry Potter Birthday Party program, with dozens of cupcakes to match. They were a big hit, several parents took photos of the cake, don't be surprised if you get more requests for it. :
Great grocery store! They have the best bakery goods. Small town feel, but they have everything and then some. The workers are the nicest and they will bag your groceries and bring them to your car. What's not to like.

Great to run in and grab something quick. Love having a small grocery store close by. When you hate long lines and don't want to park a mile away from the entrance go to Almsteds. Very quick and convenient.
Very large space, well organized. Good deals available frequently, and their rewards program is nice too. Always go there for the fun dog treats.
