Deplorable. While constantly being fined by the Ministry for neglect, the administration preforms mental gymnastics to absolve themselves of guilt with complete denial. God bless the staff.
My grandmother was moved to Country Haven during the pandemic due to an urgent need for care but not during a major lockdown. The transition was so careful, and caring. The staff have won a place in my grandmother’s heart, and our family is very pleased with her care plan. When I last window visited my grandmother, she had happy tears in her eyes and said “This is a good place.” I am grateful for everyone’s efforts to keep residents safe, healthy and happy during this unusually challenging times.
I am very happy with the way the people here look after my wife, and interact with me when I visit her. And each time I hear an account from someone whose loved one moved there from another care home, they have found ACH much better. Without exception the nurses and caregivers and the doctor assigned to my wife are diligent and caring. Support staff are great too. Small wonder that ACH got some award for being the best workplace, a while back. Many of the staff have been there many years, that tells you something.
