I recently visited Allez Up Wall Climbing Gym for the second time, this time with my 15-year-old son, and we had a fantastic experience!nnThe staff were friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The facility is impressive, with a gym area where you can warm up and clean restrooms. We also appreciated the option to rent climbing shoes.nnThey have snacks available, which were perfect for refueling after our climbs. The overall vibe was pretty chill, and we really had a great time. I highly recommend Allez Up, especially for families looking for a fun and active outing. We can’t wait to return!
First time ever doing indoor rock climbing. We arrived and were greeted by friendly front of gym staff. We were able to rent the proper footwear for a small fee. Entry cost is not bad at all and the overall vibe upon entering is very chill.nWe were a group of 6 and none of us had ever done anything remotely close to rock climbing so we were a bit disappointed when there was no staff on the floor to help us in getting started or to guide us on how to climb.nThe facility is super modern, clean and they have a small cafe where you can enjoy drinks and snacks.nThey have restrooms and changing areas and plenty of seating around the gym.nIt was a fun experience but would have been better if we had some help along the way.
I really like the setup that this bouldering place has. This place has many choices for seating, cubbies that people could use to store their shoes or bags a free weight area and clean washrooms.nnHowever, I wouldn't recommend this place for beginners or if you're bringing friends to introduce them to bouldering. I find that the difficulty scaling is a little off especially with the supposed lower grade problems.
Elmer makes the BEST lattes wanted to take a pic of the amazing latte art but it was so good I COULDN'T WAIT. Come for the bouldering, stay for the oat milk lattes
It was really fun! It was my first time trying anything like it..Allez-Up Verdun has exclusively bouldering, so no harness or anything required. One of the staff gave us an overview and some safety tips and explained how to get started. We all were at varying aptitudes, but we all had fun. It can be difficult at first and use a lot of hand and arm strength, so we only stayed an hour, taking turns on the beginner setups. The kids went dozens of times, whereas I only tried about 6 times overall. There is no parking for the centre, but a close paid parking lot and paid street parking. They have bathrooms, changing rooms, storage areas for your coat and outside shoes and storage cubbies throughout the center so you can keep an eye on your stuff. The shoe rental was included for the kids price, but adults had to pay. It was approximately $9 and the climbing shoes are forgiving and even fit my very wide feet. It's so cool that this place exists close to me!
