Allegan County Fair

I had a blast at the fair. The steak-tips food vendor (I am sorry I don't recall the name) was beyond expectations. The young men working there were fun and man, can they cook the most tender, flavorful steak tips and mushrooms and potatoes. I also got a re-usable aluminum mug from a soda vendor. It's super cute so I'm storing change in it until next year. I can bring it back and get $1 refills. I struck up conversation with many of the locals that were manning exhibits at the church, the doctor's office and the farm implements. Everyone was charming and informative. I had just moved here and I felt very welcomed at the county fair.

Good place to take the whole family and friends. Rides for all ages and many games, animals, farm, craft and historic exhibits to see for those who prefer something more down to earth. Plenty to see, eat and drink and different grandstand shows each day of the fair. Cost may be the one issue to consider if you have a large group or family. There's a fee to park, a fee for each member entering the fair, tickets for rides or for $25.00 per person an unlimited ride wrist band may be purchased. Each ride costs a different amount of tickets and grandstand shows cost extra as well. Food and drink and any novelty items are also separate. Depending on the day there is free entry for women, veterans, senior citizens and a one price per carload which defrays a bit of the cost. All in all a fun way to spend a day.

Great family fun for everyone, although 4-H entries have decreased except for animals. Historical village is amazing. Community area needs a lot of help. It used to be great, not so much anymore. Variety of food vendors.

Well a great place to Go if your not working. Different events on the weekends in the summer . A really cool place.. You really should check it out.

The kid rides were a little rough and too fast for 4yrs and younger. But it was a nice time out with the other events and such.
