All points was assigned to fix my plumbing issue through First American Home Warranty. Aram fixed the leak quickly and got my bathroom back in order.
Workers are plwnty nice but seem to know nothing, they have to call someone else as soon as they see the water heater and have taken 4 appointments and they still have not diagnosed or fixed the issue with the water heater but they have no problem collecting payments. Do not use if you want your hot water fixed any time soon. Its been a month and a half for me and all they have done is take my money and lie to my face.
Randall lacked professionalism and knowledge. He was dispatched to our home on a priority call for a leaking tankless water heater. The leak was causing water to fall into my my young son’s room. Randall did not fully diagnose all the issues with the water heater when he arrived, which would have authorized him to completely replace our water heater by our home warranty. Instead, Randall told me he temporarily stopped the leak until he could receive “authorization from my home warranty” confirming coverage of the parts. Randall said there should only be a “few more drops” of wAter, but no more ongoing leaking. Completely false! My child woke us up at about 4 am the same night 8 to 10 hrs later scared because his ceiling now has an ongoing steady drip and textured paint and dry wall falling onto his bed. Whatever Randall did made the leak so much worse. To aggravate the matter, Randall did not call the warranty company for authorization for the work the same day, even though there are warranty agents who’ll speak to service providers until 8 or 9 pm CST. Randall left our home at 3:30 pm cst or so. Randall showed no concern for mitigation of damage to our home and no appreciation of the urgency of the repair. I was able to get another plumber from outside of the warranty network to give a full diagnosis the same day that I called him and get the warranty company to fully replace the tankless water heater within 2 days, which included the weekend. If I had left it up to Randall, the complete ceiling in my sons room would need replaced, and likely would have mold in the carpet, and would still only end up getting parts of the water heater replaced, while other components would continue to erode and lead to another system failure in the near future. Please re-train your plumber as he cannot be trusted to diagnose all the issues with a tankless water heater or to move with urgency to mitigate customer water damage. Further, your company has yet to explain why the water leak got worse from whatever Randall did; your company has only made excuses to this point. Pics below show before and after Randall arrived at time home. The pic with worse water damage is from 4 am, 8 hrs or so after Randall supposedly “stopped” the leak until parts could be authorized and ordered. What a joke.
Crooks, DO NOT let them into your home. If your home warranty company tries to dispatch them, request another company.
My water heater left a lake in the garage and all pipes are fine. The tank had finally given up on my 24 year old unit. I called first American home warranty and they sent these gentlemen out. I called the contractor to give them a heads up, tank leaking and 24 years old. It's a waste of time to look at it. It took a week for them to figure out what parts where required to replace my water heater. Warranty company covered the heater but not the other $1600+ in parts and labor and we would have to wait another week. No thanks, went to home depot got a water heater and all parts for just under $700. Drive time and install 2 and a half hours. New lines, drain pan, gas line, vent duct, rain cap with flashing, tnp line, insulation, and including the purchase price of the new heater heater with a higher btu rating. If you want something done right in a timely manner without a 900% mark up, do it youself!
Had a water heater replaced because the water had a sulfur smell. 3 weeks later the new water heater developed the sulfur smell. All Points Plumbing said we need to replace the the rods at my expense. We did and the sulfur smell is back. I cannot get anyone to return my emails or calls. After spending $2,000+ I still have the sulfur smell.
These people are straight up crooks! On a home warranty job they were paid $75 to come to the house. All they did was confirm what we told them...the water heater needs replaced. Warranty went through then they wanted to charge another $230 because during install they would have to "reconfigure" the valve and replace drip pan cause it was "all beat up"...mind you it had one side slightly pushed in where the drain was..nothing wrong with it. $230 for an install covered by warranty that a 7 year old can do for 10 bucks! Stay away.....
I would give a zero if I could, Aran came out and told my 75 year old mother he could fix her sewage leakage in the backyard for 2,250 dollars bc he found roots in her pipes, even “showed her roots he found” . He said she should sue the realtor and the inspector of our new home . Just from that conversation I knew I needed to call another plumber . I called Edwin Sorto at Plumbing and Drain Cleaning who was very honest and he told me it was from the city’s main line , Aran obviously was full of it and was looking to rip off an elderly person . It’s sad that there are people like that operating this way .
