1st time in this place and so inlove!$25 per night. Very quiet. There is everything you need. Playground, Washroom with flush! Shower room cost $1 per minute. Well maintained. This campground is great for families. The caretaker/owner is nice i was on the shower room and my loonie is kind of stuck so i transfer to other shower room and put another loonie to machine and it works. When i get out from shower i saw the caretaker and told her about the loonie that got stuck on the machine she said it happens sometimes, and she gave back the loonie to me. Her husband also nice. We enjoyed our stayed. Specially kayaking. Highly recommended this place. If you are party person who love noise sorry this place is not for you
Perfect family friendly & pet friendly camping ground. The caretaker Brant was brilliant & gladly catered to our every need. We discovered bags of ice are cheaper here than any place around. We will be back all summer long.
Small and pretty. Washrooms with showers. Nice sand on beach and playground. Playground has plenty of equipment.
Great little campground right on the lake. The only down side is that there is no water or sewer hook up for the trailer. The town in nice and people are friendly when we went out for a walk around the town.
Good campsite for families with kids. Campsite is fairly open so works good for groups. Not as good for individual campers. Playground and beach are close to campsites.
Wish I could give zero stars.. the minute you drive in you feel unwelcome. Prepare to be stared at the who time! Not a comfortable place to be while camping with the family. There is an elderly man that will tell you what's on his mind the minute he sees you, and judge you from the get go. Don't bother having a conversation with him.. it's a waste of breathe.. can't converse with selective hearing or a very disrespectful person. Unfortunately the lady running things was absolutely lovely and I really feel for her! I'm sorry but won't be back. Thanks.
Same as some of the negative post down below, as soon as we got there the elderly old man was extremely rude and tossed out insults and aggression for the day and a half we were there., Was planning on staying longer but our stay was put short because of this extremely rude old guy. Like a guy said, the lady there was very polite and understanding, seen her ball out the guy numerous times throughout our stay. Marked it at two stars so that some people who don't look at the extreme reviews will see this.
Great little town lake was great for a dip but thenold man at the convenience shop on the beach was extreamly rude. We came in on the far side of the of the parking lot and never seen the no dog on beach sign.. He was extreamly rude about it and when appoligised and told him we were from out of town and didnt see the sign he told us maybe we shouldn't have come to his town or beach ... Really sad that hes going to drive pwople away like that.. I wont be returning to the beach anytime soon . the old man made it quite clear out of towners are not welcome there
HORRIBLE!!! Don't recommend at all!! You will be treated very disrespectfully the minute you drive in. If you do not live in Alix the old man will make sure you know you do not belong! You will be starred at and judged at this camp ground no matter what! It's ashame because Alix is such a quaint little town. But that old elderly man will ruin the entire experience for you! Not a place i would take my family again. Dogs are allowed but you will be immediately confronted if you have them. No room for nature human error at this place.. I highly recommend AVOIDING!
Fantastic place to go for a quick getaway. Sites are large and clean. Washrooms are great too. Lots to do to keep yourself occupied. Go into town for some treats or walk around the lake ; it is all good!
