$14,000 for a year, they turn the AC off as soon as they can to try and save money. My room has been 27 degrees for a week and I’ve had maintenance people tell me I’m going to have to “deal with it”. Try sleeping with your room that hot
Terrible. All term either freezing or sweating to death. Bedroom is freezing and thermostat says 48 degrees. Does not matter if it is Fahrenheit or Celsius, 48 is not a realistic room temperature. Open a ticket, within an hour, the ticket is closed. Nothing fixed, no explanation, but now I have a broken lamp.
Um, yeah. Don't mistake this place for a Residence Inn, like my company did. The staff are nice, the rooms are good sized dorms, but the 7 minute walk from the front desk to my room was a bit more exercise than usual. Cheap rooms if you're on a budget, and don't mind staying on campus with all the college kids. Coworkers reported bed bugs...
It was a good ride, but it turns out they can’t handle autistic issues after all.
The worst place to live in Ottawa. There was no hydro for three days and they don't even have any generator or any other back up plan to provide. The hallways don't have any emergency lights, Exit signs were not lighted up.The Regional Sales Manager whom we went and enquires about hydro updates hesitated to talk with us, he gave his business card to reach out for any inconvenience, when we tried to contact him, he didn't answer the calls. Please don't ever book a stay with them. I saw your reply on my review, but here you purposely neglected about your Irresponsibilities such as there was no back up plan to provide power using generators or emergency lights. The hallways were pitch black without any emergency lights, exit signs were not lighted up.Can you mention how the people residing there would respond in a fire situation? All other hotels provided power to their customers by using generator back up.What about you guys?So please don't blame the tornado. If you are billing people you are responsible to provide the services as well.Hope you understand.Thank you.
Worst place ever. Made a review last year.....I was told by the residence staff when I left to give the place a second chance. I am here again and nothing has changed. The hallways are constantly filled with people making noise til late at night. I made over 10 calls to the front desk via phone from the room. I have a bad back and cannot walk all the way to the front desk so I needed assistance but never got any. Couldn't connect to the WiFi due to it being an unsecured network. No noise cancellation. Didn't speak french to me when I said Bonjour but was able to speak hindi at the front desk. Payed for my stay at 2pm and was told I didn't have to wait in line at 4pm when my room would be ready. When I arrived at 4pm....I had to wait in line with a bad back for 30 minutes. I hate this place with a passion. Noone come here. You'll be wasting your money. I'd rather pay 150$ more for the Sheridan or delta hotel.
We were in a trip to Gatineau and Ottawa, and booked at the same day, the price was almost half of any other hotel or motel there. We booked a suit of 2 rooms with twin beds, one bathroom, and dining room. Everything was super neat and clean. It was much better than any other hotel,We used the parking for only $5/day. The staff are super friendly and nice. I highly recommend to all who visit Ottawa or Gatineau.
I stayed as an R&B back in 2008 for two days. Clean, comfortable and above all, the all you can eat breakfast was fantastic. If I visit Ottawa again, I will definitely stay there.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This residence is absolutely terrible. My roommate and I lived on the ground floor and constantly had people banging on our windows at night as they walked by. Despite reporting it several times to the staff, they did nothing to prevent it and made no effort to help me and my roommate handle it. They told us there was nothing they could do and to just deal with it. The bathroom in our suite also had a silverfish issue, which once again, they did nothing to fix despite us reporting it. On top of all that the food here is absolutely terrible. We were forced to get a meal plan that can only buy us food that made us both so sick. I don't know what kind of chemicals they are using in their "food" but it is clearly inedible. Worst living experience I have ever had. It is far too expensive to have to put up with the nonsense. It is absolutely NOT worth living here under any circumstances. Abandon all hope ye who live here.
This was a nice alternative to a regular hotel. Was close the the event I was attending. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Nice to have a full size fridge there. Could not adjust thermostat very well. Found the room very warm and dry for my liking. Needed a cart to bring in lugage but none available. Apparently, the one they had was stolen and hasn't been replaced yet. I would stay here again. The price was right for what I got.
