What a beautiful campus. Makes me wish I needed to go back to school. Definitely didn't have facilities so nice when I did my nursing education.
This school and its service/ policies don't even deserve 1 star. After withdrawing from a program due to serious health and mental health concerns with a doctor's note as stated on their website as necessary, I was provided with vague answers and badgered with emails to pay the $500 enrolment fee, even though I had withdrawn PRIOR to the deadline without penalty. Customer service by the registrar office was disgusting, closing my case without the opportunity to discuss the matter and understand why my medical exempt was accepted. Seems like since the number of international students dropped, they're desperate to grab money from anywhere and anyone. Looking forward to escalating the matter.
Tried doing practical nursing here and it didn't work out. Thankfully Dan Cuddy helped me transfer out of Pembroke awful city btw and back to Ottawa. I am happy in my new program at the Woodroffe campus great campus and support
Although not as poor as the Ottawa campus in regards to having teacher interaction with pupils, there are still a great many subjects offered that could be learned through free online study. Also, Algonquin colleges are no longer meritocratic and have racist and sexist policies.
The Environmental Management and Assessment program at Algonquin College Pembroke was an amazing experience. The curriculum was comprehensive and relevant to industry practices, and the teachers were knowledgeable and supportive. Highly recommended for anyone interested in pursuing a career in environmental management.
