First off when we called we felt RUSHED! we didn't even have a menu, or had we EVER ORDERED from them before. Thankfully the power of internet we found the menu, after the fact. We over looked the rushing we got over the phone as we knew what we wanted. meat pizza and Greek salad We got the " mighty meat " hubby enjoyed it . I found it greasy and salty. My Greek salad WAS NOT a Greek! Honestly I don't know why other restaurant want to place lettuce this one spinach ?! A authentic Greek salad does NOT have either! Normal I don't complain when the restaurant try to pass of a Greek salad with a lettuce add in . And I was going to do the same BUT .... Top of this they had tzatziki dressing?? AGAIN authentic Greek dressing is A vinaigrette is more than just a red wine vinaigrette with a little oregano for colour . And they add CARROTS?!? AND NO CUCUMBER?!? Plus the spinach this is NOT A GREEK SALAD!!! This was a nice spinach salad and the tzatziki dressing was nice . I was asking for a GREEK salad and this is definitely not a Greek!
We had 5 people all come out to get some pizza, I had the bbq pulled pork so I’ll speak to how great that pizza was. I coupled the pizza with a paralyzer and it slapped. Ask for the jalapeño dipping sauce and another when you box it up. Server was nice and had it all by memory which always scares me but it came out as per order, classic! This place had the trifecta: 1.Great Service 2.Great Location 3.Great Food Travelling through Golden and staying at the adjacent hotel, we stopped by for an early supper at Alforno Restaurant and Pizzeria and immediately knew we'd be coming back in the evening for more. Our first time 'round we had a Hawaiian pizza and it was delicious! Our waitress, Gur, was super personable and polite, and made sure we had a high chair for our toddler, even outside on the patio. When we came by later that night for a date night, we sat on the patio and watched the sunset on the mountain range view from the restaurant and it was amazing! Prabh served us in the evening and we had the best I'm not over exaggerating here, the best lemon pepper wings I've had in my life. I was really impressed by the service and overall experience here, we felt like we were repeat customers even though we were just passing through. They forewarned us that they were short staffed at the moment when we dined here but we didn't even notice, the staff here were top notch. I am going to make a point of coming back here on our next road trip.
It’s hard to go wrong, they’ve got good pizza, a decent view, and they are friendly.
We ordered 3 large pizza and got meat bone in pizza slice when i phoned Alforno they refused to refund and refused to replace the large pizza. Not good management, I do not recommend this restaurant. We will never buy pizza from Alforno again
My wife and I are here from Ontario on our honeymoon. After a 12 hour long travel day we were so hungry. Googled restaurants near me and found you guys. I love pizza and am pretty basic pep and bacon guy. Had the Garlic Supreme and pesto Pollo as my wife likes pizza that's a bit different. It was phenomenal! Every bit of it! The wings and tiramisu were also incredible. We're probably going to try your pastas tonight!
Outstanding pizza! We sat outside overlooking the valley and watched the sun go down over the Selkirks while we ate. The service was fairly quick even though it seemed a little busy for one server, who was very pleasant. Overall excellent experience Recommended dishesRegular Crust Pizza
I visiter on January 25th. At first, we were a little thrown off by the restaurant’s location in the back of a Day’s Inn hotel. The pizzas we ordered surpassed our expectations. But what really impressed us was the waitress. She was tending bar and managing several tables at once. Her personality really shone through. She was attentive, funny, caring, and efficient. Thanks to her incredible service, I quickly forgot we were eating in the back of a Days Inn. The cooks did a good job and the waitress did a great one.

Our day in the Rockies took longer than expected so on our way home we decided to stop for dinner in Golden rather than wait till Revelstoke. The Google reviews for Alforno were great, so we pulled in. When we saw it was attached to a motel we wondered if we had made a mistake. We nervously walked around back to the entrance. The decor is dated and consistent with the fact it is in a motel, but it was clean and a welcome break from driving. The young lady who served us was really friendly and nice. Then we got the food... it was great! Three of us split 2 pizzas. They were thick with cheese and had lots of toppings. They were so filling we still had a full pizza left when we were done. This place was a great find! It wasn't fine dining, but it was the meal we needed after hours on the road, and hours left to go. We left satisfied and would definitely go back.
