Overall 8/10nnAlfa's claim to fame online drew me here. The claim is valid for three reasons:nn1. No nonsense service : Pull up, order, move along the line and get your food. The ability to put out line orders is attributed to the simplicity of the menu a good thingnn2. Quality ingredients : Again, the menu is not really complex, its classic quebec diner food but at Alfa, you can expect each ingredient to be fresh and high quality.nn3. Price : Cheaper than La Banquise, cheaper than Poutineville, better than La Belle Province. This right here is why most people online appreciate it.nnOverall : Alfa is good. Just good to me. Its out of the city so not accessible to tourists and even the smoked meat poutine isn't as exciting as some of the creations at Dunn's or The Main. BUT , if you want a good quality classic poutine for cheap, Alfa's will provide.

This place has been openned for so loooong. All I eat there is their poutine. So that is all I can review but honestly, that is all you need to eat to feel joy. The daily line up says it all.nnTheir regular poutine and À la Grecque aka smoke meat poutine is soo satisfying. Which one to choose. I choose both. Eat 2 poutines. Why settle for 1?

As a fan of poutine, I was looking for something simple and authentic. I saw this place recommended from Reddit. I got a regular poutine and oh la la…I was surprised by the serving of the dish for a small size. I loved the crispiness of the fries, the smoothness of the gravy, and the amount of cheese curds. Definitely would try it again when I am around the area!

Loved lots of squeeky cheese curds and yummy smoked meat. Wasnt a big fan of fries themselves. Lady at the cash was friendly and spoke in English for me. Cozy old building and lots of staff and line up of customers; busy place! Plenty of parking which is always a huge plus.
