We drove by this place in 2012 and stopped for what turned out to be a long visit. Some of the exhibits weren't finished but what we were able to view was amazing. We got to spray the birds it was hot, toured the inside exhibits, watched an outside show and even got to hold an owl. Truly marvelous.
Information and live presentations were great and all staff were there to explain all birds. Able to hold on for free with very reasonable admission price. Highly recommend you visit
Great place to visit in southern Alberta. I like the fact that it is not a zoo but a place where these birds are rescued and cared for. The flight demonstration is impressive, seeing eagles so close is an experience! The staff is very nice and gives us a lot of information. Very informative for adults and kids.
My kids love this place. Super fun everytime too see the wild birds and learn more about them.
There is no place like this on earth that I have found. This incredible fellow founded a place where birds who are in trouble can go, and they take care of them and help them get back into the wild. If they can’t re-wild, they teach them to interact kindly with people. Amazing creatures like owls, eagles, hawks… magic! Things you would never get close to you in 100 years otherwise! The whole entire staff is incredibly informed, and give a great education on each animal.
