Great place to visit in southern Alberta. I like the fact that it is not a zoo but a place where these birds are rescued and cared for. The flight demonstration is impressive, seeing eagles so close is an experience! The staff is very nice and gives us a lot of information. Very informative for adults and kids.
What a terrific place to experience. Definitely recommend checking it out and supporting Alberta's largest bird sanctuary! Go hold an owl or 2 and take in the flight show! Age doesn't matter and always something new to learn or explore! The staff are friendly and informative. It's a great way to spend an hour or so. You can even relax on the benches feeding the ducks! Remember it's not for profit so they need visitors and donors to help keep this place running!
This is a favorite for our homeschooling family. The staff is always friendly, they always engage with the audience, answer my kids' questions, they are knowledgeable, and we just love it.
Hidden gem! I honestly have no idea how more people don't know about this amazing place. Such a unique experience to interact with some amazing species that few people often see up close. Unfortunately, they are now closed for the season but definitely add this to your list of MUST DO day trips in the spring and summer near Lethbridge. Everything goes towards such a great cause too, of rehabilitating and protecting this amazing species. The flight demonstration had to be my favourite part. The staff is incredibly kind and insanely knowledgeable. Birds of prey is one of my new fave places in the area!
Went here July 2023. What a neat place to visit-they offer an experience like no other when it comes to interaction with birds of prey. The staff were all super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, answering questions and providing facts whenever asked. I really appreciated how great they are with young kids and giving everyone a chance to have their own unique experience. If time allows we definitely will be back. I wish they offered a family rate but I know the proceeds go to a great cause. FYI feed the ducks at your own risk-it’s fun to go in there but they can become somewhat aggressive when looking for more food. Aggressive enough to scare kids anyways.
