We went to this outdoor skating rink for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It was around 3pm on Friday. It was all empty at that time so we enjoyed the newly shaved ice. I brought our orange plastic aid but it kept falling apart. Then I found out they have the blue sturdy one on site so we borrowed and used it for a while. However that was the only one they had. The rest were all broken. Hope they will get them fixed soon. It was a good location and we enjoyed our time there.
It's going through some renovations right now. There is construction continuing on the stairs leading up to Scarborough Town Centre, and throughout the centre field between the YMCA and condos. The rink is well taken care of. It's still nice to see free outdoor skating in the heart of Scarborough. It's unfortunate that the snack bar inside the change area doesn't open anymore, but it's understandable considering the low foot traffic. Having it open during March break would have been nice. It's an older city square, being the old city hall of Scarborough, but it's nice to see their trying to keep it functional and up to date.
Rink was kinda small but it was really nice vibes, I just wished they cleaned off the ice more often.
It's a great place to relax and there are picnic tables around the fountain. Also the Toronto Public Library is very close by. If the idea makes it feel appealing.
Great place to skate. Conveniently located by Scarborough Town Centre. Highly recommend.
The facility was confusing to get around in....the address was not clearly marked, you felt like a mouse in a maze. When I went there on a Saturday, there was no one to help at all.
Nice little area. Has a reflecting pool that doubles as a skating rink in the winter.
Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful architecture and open air building. Take a peak inside if you are in the area.
Extremely fun evening to celebrate India's independence day with Honorable Mayor John Tory.
Nice space for kids to run..there's a playground as well
