This Is Really Bad. I used to take joy and pride in saying i was a member and have an account with Alaska USA. Today after many years i still have an account with them but sadly say i no longer hold the joy and pride i once did. i purchased disability insurance for my credit line loan and Alaska USA Visa credit card, thinking at that time i would not ever need it but thought i would anyways for nothing more than peace of mind. Untill that fatal day arrived. A little over a year ago i had heart failure at work and within weeks after went legally blind almost at the very same times. I was no longer and still am no longer able to work because of this. When i called the bank to claim my insurance and told them what had happened to me, their response and the pleasant voice i was always used to hearing changed forever in just one moment. They gave me a list of demands on a paper trail i was not able to follow by myself due to my health issues. I asked them to help me offering them information phone numbers to the Hospital job cardiologist and eye doctor, and the their message was abruptly pretty much like " your on your own pal " to this day i didnt get any insurance coverage but have managed to make my payments on my own. Two months ago i decided to cancel my insurance. because i saw no reason to pay money for something i would never see so i called being very careful not reminding or saying a word to them about not recieving any benifits from something i was clearly entitled to. The message was passed and later that day it was almost like they had declared war on me. They left a very loud message to my phone very loud and very direct.They refused to take off the insurance unless i followed their demands on another paper trail they insist i follow. My heart failure has changed my life for ever i finally am recieving SSI Disability, since then however i have received surgury on both eyes and am now able to see so i am very thankful for this. i struggle with memory physical weakness and cant get around much anymore. End result i am being held hostage and being forced to pay monthly for something they wouldnt and clearly wont ever allow me to receive.
