Really fun place for date night and even with the family. Seeing the old commercials brought back so many memories. So that was a plus. I would give 5 stars but the minus star is because when ordering food during the show most of it comes to you cold. The drinks were good even the alcoholic ones. But the good meh . But refills took forever. And twice we have been here and food takes a decent amount of time to come back to us cold. But other than that the movies are great and the seats all good and comfy. Would definitely recommend!
You want to go see a movie? Do you want to have a beer? Maybe a cocktail? Why not Just throw a really good dinner in. If you answered yes to any one of these questions then why not come down to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. Good burgers. Good pizza. Good drinks. Great employees. Good stuff all around
I love this movie theatre. Always amazing service, delicious food, great drinks and awesome movies! My favorite drink is the pineapple ti punch. I also love that they have rotating menus. This place is a lovely experience every time, and their queso dip is delicious. The popcorn is way better than Marcus theater popcorn and I love that it’s bottomless! 10/10 place to visit. I make the trip from Lincoln to specifically come to the Alamo instead of going to Marcus theaters in Lincoln- the experience is that much better.
My first time at this theater. It was the only one in Omaha showing The Whale. Great movie and a great theater. I’m not one to eat in the dark, but others ordered and the different smells made me think they serve quality food. I wanted a cocktail but I was driving - maybe next time
I was there a couple of years ago to see the new release of "Beauty & the Beast." I complained about the sound. Way to loud. I thought I was in a Star Wars movie blasting through Hyper Space or a Rolling Stones concert. Food was very good, but expensive. They never did turn down the sound. The digital projection focus was not centered on the screen and blurry in places. Never went back. Not worth $50 bucks. My wife and I could have had a great steak dinner somewhere else.
My review is of the Draft House only. I have tried to give this place a chance many times and I still have the same issue every time. We went for lunch and sat on the patio. I asked the waiter if it was ok if we sat outside and he said yes and asked me to take a menu out. I went out and sat at the least disgusting table that I could find that was still sticky and covered in drink rings and other food items. It took over 20 minutes to come out and take our drink order and he said he would bring out a rag to wipe down the table. Didn't even have to ask for that! We ordered our food and 35 minutes later it came out. We saw nothing of the waiter the entire time we were waiting. There was 2 other tables in the entire place and had already been there over an hour and had not received food. The fries were great, tasted fresh cut and had a nice crisp to them. I had the Royale with Cheese and it was charred to a nice hockey puck look and flavor. My friend had the chicken fingers and I could tell right away they were over fried. The outer shell was black in places and dark brown in others. The chicken was dry and chewy but thank god for something to dip on. Luckily I do not work somewhere that I have a lunch hour because it would not have been possible. We did not see the waiter again and I finally went inside after sitting for a while and paid our bill.
Called to let a worker know I believed I got mild food poisoning from them. The first time she didn’t here me because she was laughing at something and asked me to repeat myself. The second time she told me it couldn’t be from them because they are so carful and was very dismissive. Explain they were the only thing I had to eat and she just brushed me off. I even let her know I wasn’t trying to get money back even just that I wanted to give them a heads up and was blown off for a 3rd time. A little disappointed in the entire conversation especially when my server in the ticket counter, people are so kind earlier that day
We came for the movies but also stayed for the movies. This place has it all: food for adults and teens, drinks of water, and helpful staff who won't yell at you if you forgot your tickets like I did. Bring your manners and you'll have a good time.
Moving from Colorado where we had Movie Tavern we were looking for a place that we could sit down and have a meal and a drink and watch a movie and since there are no Movie Taverns here, this was a good alternative and we loved it. The service was super quick, we were literally ordering a drink and before we ordered appetizers the drinks were brought to us. Arriving early is a must so you're not eating in the dark the whole time and the pre-show programs are tailored to the movie you're seeing and are fun to watch. The shakes are awesome, the drinks are good, we had the BBQ chicken pizza, the carnivore pizza and the Royale burger with pickle fries as our appetizer and it was all good! The only downside is the shared tables if you're not next to who you came with you're potentially sharing a table with a stranger and the seats don't recline. At Movie Taven in Colorado you have your own eating table that swivels in and out and the seats recline and lay back. Makes Movie watching awesome! But not having those did not ruin our experience and we will definitely be back!
Dinner and a movie in the theater. Recently went on a date here, food and service was better in the bar than the theater, many more people in the theater. Great selection of brewery drinks from all over. Tuesday is $5 movie night.
