Al's Breakfast

A definitive go-to when visiting Minneapolis. Old school diner feel and it’s incredibly tiny and intimate. A great brunch or breakfast spot. The food did not disappoint! Highly recommend.

We went there on Saturday morning around 10am, and didn’t wait at all! The food is absolutely good. People in here are very nice and thoughtful. They only take cash and check, No credit card!!!

Great breakfast, with some interesting takes. I had the corned beef hash breakfast, which was substantial and very tasty. There is only counter seating so, when the place is busy, there can be a good wait. They only take cash something I did not know until I got there, so be prepared for that aspect.

Has really delicious pancakes. Good sausage links. Mouth watering. Very nice staff. Glad to have tried them oit

There are 14 seats in this place and there can be a wait but it is worth it!!!!! Great diner breakfast made old school. Great service and all very at low prices. The corned beef hash browns are a must, the bacon cooked perfectly and the flapjacks amazing!!! Great vibe in a place that has become an institution for a reason!

Expect to wait standing behind customers who sit at the counter. Expect staff to yell orders. Expect reasonably priced, tasty, and satisfying diner food in cramped quarters. Expect to enjoy the experience for what it is. Don’t forget the chocolate chip pancake.

Good food and service! This is the kind of place that you can see yourself going every Sunday for years. It's a historic and fun site that sticks to its values that built it over 60 years ago. I highly recommend trying out their unique dishes and coming back for more!

I dont understand why people love this place so much. Food is average and overpriced. Go to Tony's and get a real breakfast for half the price without having to wait an hour.
