Al-Meezan Grocery & Halal Meat

Food is so delicious! I love the rice. It’s has a bit of sweetness to it because of the reasons and there’s also sliced carrot in it, which I really like. And their chicken is so flavourful and juicy. I highly recommend the chicken also the spicy kebab.

We used to know this place as 'Palawan's', the senior Afghani gentleman who used to run the food in the back. Very good still, however, there is one very big difference and that is with the style of the beef kabobs. He used to make them round and juicy, similar in shape to a hotdog or sausage, whereas now it is flat round shape. Definitely not the same. I wish as a request if someone can find anywhere in Toronto who used to make them like Palawan. Only these guys might know, and if they make it as menu item I think it will be great as every other kabob place makes it the same flat round shape. Be creative and keep up the good work. Great little spot. Goat curry is absolutely one of the best I’ve tried very soft and great taste! If you never tried goat curry try this one because yo I won’t regret it. The afghani rice is great as well and kebabs very tasty. Definitely not a spot you want to miss.

On the way visited the location for Shawarma but the beautiful shop changed our mind and we ended up purchasing Kabli Palao , Chicken roast, Afghani Naan , Green Tea , Jalebi, Kabobs and Bakery items due to amazing customer service and Friendly nature of staff there. And he allows us to take pictures and permission to post at Google. Highly recommended for #Halal food. Very tasty fresh and reasonable price.

The food here is really nice and tasty but mostly I like the chicken shawarma rap I at least have it three times a week.

My family has been a regular here for years, even before covid. Great tasting bbq chicken and we usually order the goat curry too, which was just full of tiny bones this time. We are used to the bones, but this time was just too much tiny bones picture 2 and I have to share this because I choked on one really small one out of many other pieces that were too small and could have been easily removed from the food. Please be careful of the bones in the goat curry. I was literally choking for a good 10 minutes thank God I got it out. It kept poking at my throat when I tried swallowing and when it came out, it was the size of a tiny fish bone picture 3. It definitely chipped out of the bone marrow fatty part of the goat picture 1 while I was eating. Overall, food is pretty good... could be better especially when it is fresh. You know it has been sitting out for awhile when it is a bit dry, but still good after microwaving at home. The food is good, but everyone pleaaaasseee be careful of goat curry bones.

We go here for the rotisserie chicken which is delicious. The reason for three stars is because of customer service and attention to details. EVERY time I order shawarma here I specifically ask for no tomatoes or onions yet EVERY single time they are there. Regardless of how many times you ask them. I will just stick to ordering bbq or rotisserie full chicken from now onwards
