MashaAllah beautiful mosque near Calgary Airport. Women area is huge and upstairs. The washrooms are clean and accessible. The wudu area is well laid out with four spots. The only issue that there is one working hand washing sink in women area.nVery large area for parking.nNote - Jummah prayers are packed here SubhanAllah make sure you give yourself ample time to find a parking spot.
A well laid out Akram Jomma Islamic center and mosque in Calgary, Canada. It has a congenial atmosphere for devotees as well as visitors of any faith . People from other faith come here sometimes to see and sometimes visit to know about Islam. A renowned Educational Institution is attached to it.nPrayer room is excellent. Students attend prayers whenever possible. There are play ground, indoor games and other recreational facilities available for the youths.nnI am amazed to see that children’s are welcomed here to pray . They play, make noises but no one misbehave with them nor with their parents . After prayer, musallis and youngsters have their little get together among their chosen age groups . It is an added attraction for youngsters to go to the mosque.nnSeparate arrangements are there in 1st floor for the ladies, which makes easy for families to offer their prayer in the mosque .nnAnother good thing is the “Open day House” . Any one from any religion can visit mosque to see, know Islam, ask questions about Islam/Religion . Some refreshments are also made available for visitors as well as devotees in all occasions.nnEveryone is very cooperative and friendly.
