Don't come here if: Atmosphere and Environment are important to you, as it is quite cramped and requires some cleaning. Also, the service even though friendly they can be overwhelmed, and you as a table may feel the lack. Do come here if: You want to try exotic and creative Persian dishes with a twist. I actually thought all the dishes were quite good see pic. Yeah....I enjoyed all seven dishes...with the exception of one little yogurt, which I'm sure felt out of place as no one really went for seconds from it. The service was friendly and they tried to keep all tables happy as they were packed and had a line up out the door on a Saturday evening. Oh....and one thing...they don't serve tea and deserts on the weekends. Not serving tea in a Persian restaurant is like....not serving wine in an Italian restaurant....so, some room for improvement. But, overall I might be back if I'm in the area again and am craving that style of dine out.
The quality of the food was outstanding, with the meat being incredibly fresh and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous and satisfying, leaving me thoroughly impressed. Not only was the food top-notch, but the service was also impeccable. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. The manager's warm hospitality added an extra layer of charm to the evening. Lastly, I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful attention to detail at this restaurant. Despite not mentioning it explicitly, they noticed my preference for non-greasy food and went above and beyond to accommodate it. They took the initiative to remove excess fat from my plate, ensuring I had a healthier and more enjoyable dining experience. This level of consideration truly sets them apart. The commitment to understanding and meeting their customers' preferences makes this place a standout choice for anyone seeking a customized and delightful meal. I can't recommend this place enough for its delicious cuisine, fantastic service, and welcoming atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Mirza ghasemi
Amazing food and very cozy atmosphere! Lots of delicious options to choose from including their signature “Akbar Joojeh”. When we visited, it had only been 25 days since their grand opening and we were delighted with the friendly staff and delicious food. We had a chance to meet the owner, Mr. Shandiz, as well who greeted all his guests at their tables and welcomed them. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip in Vancouver. The dishes are beautifully presented and full of flavour. Looking forward to a location opening in Toronto!
Our very first dining experience at this restaurant was quite an adventure! I decided to try the Akbar Jooje, and it was decent, but what really needs a little TLC is the service. During our first visit, they mentioned a 20-minute wait for our table, but it ended up being over an hour, and the food took its sweet time to arrive as well. But here's the kicker: this wasn't a one-off. On a previous visit, they promised a table in 30 minutes and said they'd give us a ring, but that call never came. In a friendly way, I'd say they've got some room for improvement in the consistency and timing of their service.
Best Persian food ever! Great lamb kebab with rice. Grilled tomato and pepper are sweet and tasty. The service is also above average. Once you have made the order, you will get free naan which is also tasty. This place is too popular. We arrived around 1:30 pm, but we still waited around 10 minutes for a table. There are street parking near the restaurant.
Love the vibe of this restaurant, I've never been to Iran but I wouldn't be surprised if the decorations like the lamps were imported from there. Same with the dishes, it really adds to the atmosphere. Also it's awesome that you can see their large grill cooking the massive skewers of meat and vegetables! The food was good too and I would say the rice tastes a bit healthier than most of the other Iranian restaurants I've been too because it wasn't as addictive . The meats were all really juicy too.
Tonight, l have had the most delicious real Iranian food ever. I would like to thank all the hardworking staff whose put their hearth in to their service and the foods. An other impressive treat Head Chef came to our table to greet us and ask how satisfied we were with the meals. I also like to special thanks to Aynaz and her team. I strongly suggest you all and check it out.
The food had good quality and we were happy with our order. Definitely the portion was enough and worth the cost. The only issue was the service. It took waiters so long to bring simple pitcher of dough or salt and pepper and we needed to ask them couple times.
First time experience with Iranian food which is absolutely amazing. The lamb shoulder was stewed to perfection and very tender as well. The yogurt was very high quality with a refined taste. The restaurant’s speciality is pomegranate molasses which is delicious on their various sour dish. We tried the sour fish and it tastes great.
Wonderful cozy atmosphere with awesome positive vibes and the best authentic Persian food I have tried in the area! Service was excellent and they went out of their way to help us celebrate my birthday with DELICIOUS Baclava! The servers were all smiles, nice and attentive! I asked only Rozhina’s name but they were all awesome! Amazing experience! This is going to be our new go to!
