It’s been a while since I have flown. And even longer since air Canada was my choice. I flew from Montreal to Miami through Toronto and then Miami to Montreal on my return. Montreal to Toronto was a comfortable plane with very nice staff who made sure masks were worn and rules were applied. Toronto to Montreal was a joke. Flight crew allowed travellers to wear masks around their chin and allowed people to order far more alcohol than they should have. I was disappointed and fearful for the health of my travel party. No issues from Miami to Montreal, the plane was new and had tons of leg room. Overall I felt it was good service but it’s important that covid rules be unforced **very LGBTQ friendly
I have flown to over 15 countries, including very poor and developing countries, but my experience flying with Air Canada in December 2022 was the worst travel experience of my life. Air Canada is broken. Your flights are chronically late, your app provides misleading information, most of your customer service staff at Pearson airport are either unwilling or unable to help customers and your baggage tracking? system is pathetic. No one should have to go through this experience again. I understand weather-related delays but the weather cannot be blamed for poor communication, a lack of empathy, poor coordination, a lack of training and overall incompetence on the part of Air Canada staff.
Every single one of my girlfriends flights were delayed making her miss her connecting flight in Montreal home. In Fort Lauderdale the agent assured her there’d be a hotel arranged for her when she arrived in Montreal. Do you think that happened?????? Total hours delayed =22&1/2 hours Air Canada ‘s total compensation = $30 in meal vouchers. I even have her booking number and to try to get anyone to email/contact her etc is …. Well One of the WORST customer service carriers Here’s the lineup at Montreal to talk to a customer service representative and get her “supposed” hotel. Which ended up being a $20 meal voucher at 4 am!!!
WORST AIRLINE EVER!!! We flew from Orlando to Quebec for a short trip. My wife luggage priority tagged didn’t arrive with us on the airplane. How they handled the situation is the worst experience we’ve ever had with any airline anywhere in the globe. Their customer inexperienced reps know nothing, their system crashes all the time that was their excuse in all phone conversations, there’s no traceability of the luggage at all. Their cynicism and lack of responsibility is something we’ve never seen with any other airline before. A customer means nothing to them. We spent 3 days in Quebec. My wife luggage never arrived! When we told the story to the people at our hotel they weren’t surprised, actually they said this is something that happens on a regular basis with air Canada. If you’re reading this and are planning to flight with this airline, safe yourselves a headache and choose another reliable company.
Do not recommend. Difficult to work with. Poor customer service. Unethical. We purchased two international flights prior to the first COVID lockdown for a trip in August 2020. Air Canada canceled the flights and refuses to refund our trip, despite multiple phone calls and despite us filling out their forms. We have literally spent years trying to get our money back. We will not be flying Air Canada in the future and will discourage others from using them either.
g Canadian, I choose to fly Air canada wherever I can get the fly from, today I flew from Ottawa to Calgary. Flight no.353 It was pleasant trip, stewardess was pleasant and helpful, the only criticism/ comments I could share is the space between seats/ leg room was tight. I am only 5’8 and almost touching the seat infront of me. Other passenger next to my seat was arguing each other because they keep banging his knees at his back seat. I wish Canadian Airlines will consider to extend a few inches leg room. But I still recommends this Airline
The worst airline I have taken: never on time, boarding of passengers starts at the time the doors should be closed, people board with too much luggage which makes you waste time distribute in the compartments above our heads, it is too cold in the plane even in winter there is air conditioning, few crews speak French & English on board unheard of especially in a bilingual country! !, there are more personnel occupying seats on board than passengers. And the last, the delays of the crews who delay boarding because they did not take precautions to arrive on time for their work like everyone else and who arrive like flowers not stressed or embarrassed. YOU ARE THE NATIONAL AIRLINE DO SOMETHING BECAUSE WE PASSENGERS SUFFER!!!!!!
This is one of the worst airlines to ever exist do yourself a favour and never buy Air Canada flights. It’s seriously horrible, customer service does not exist anywhere starting with flight attendants, security, every single store, restaurant in the airport it’s a complete JOKE. This is my second flight with air Canada and my last good riddance.
Small seats, staff want very friendly but caught a great view of Toronto
I've never had such a bad experience with an airline and I consider myself a seasoned traveler. Air Canada has soiled my vacation experience so badly that I'm not sure I'll take another flight with any airline any time soon as I'm now fearful of the potential issues. With canceled flights, over 24 hour layover and my once-direct flight now having two additional stops. Broken promises and poor communication leaving my family stranded across the country. So disappointed.
