If I could give zero stars then I would. I would not recommend seeing Dr Kemp. I saw him because of his close proximity to my house as well as insurance coverage. I had a knee injury and saw him a week after it occurred. He told me to rest and ice it, and if it still hurt in 8-10 weeks then I could come back in for the MRI. I got an x ray done with my PCP but waited with his instructions for the 8 weeks before I got an MRI done. This meant by the time I got the MRI done the trauma could not be seen on it. I also had to beg to get the MRI done and work with my insurance alone to get a PA for it. Upon downloading My Chart for my MRI results I was able to see his notes and he had the wrong knee listed for the entirety of the note. Thank goodness I didn’t need surgery or they may have performed it on the wrong knee. I ended up seeing a different surgeon at a different clinic and it was the smartest decision I made. I just wish I had switched sooner. I started seeing a physical therapist, which Dr Kemp never suggested, and he said if I’d have seen him months sooner then it would have healed by now.

Dr. Kemp is easily the most arrogant doctor I have ever had the displeasure of needing. I came to him because of an old injury flare up. He was in the room maybe two minutes and decided all I needed was a cortisone injection. All in all, my appointment wasn't even 10 minutes, but my insurance was charged 350$ for fifteen minutes. He didn't bother to take the time to tell me what I could do to make my knee better. He didn't take the time to tell me what, in detail, was wrong with my knee. He ordered an MRI, then didn't even explain WHY it wasn't surgical. I've since seen someone else and I know EXACTLY what's wrong and what I can do to help my situation. My knee is feeling better, because now I know what I was doing wrong. I should have known when he spoke of the cortisone injection. "It works for me! I get one every four months and I'm good" I hate when a doctor thinks that because something works for them, it'll work for anyone!
