Food tastes good. The Greek salad is fresh and crunchy. Will definitely be back. The owner and chef, Sri, is nice and friendly!
First time trying this place out. Had the Gyro dinner and it was great. Proportions were amazing. I am definitely coming back here. Photo was taken after i ate a decent amount.
Too many of the wrong spices used to make this dinner. Simply not Greek in nature. The potatoes were SOUR. This is Indian food disguised as Greek food. I love Indian food, and I love greek, so don’t get me wrong there. Incredibly misleading and practically inedible. Not even the right sauce was given, they gave us sour cream….. How can a place be so happy being so mediocre. Admit that you are a fusion of a restaurant and stop misleading people. Nothing authentic about this place in the slightest.
The salad was fresh, but the $4.99 they charged me for chicken said TWO sticks, this is maybe a half? And there are no onions in the salad, the dressing tastes like nothing, and the wait time was almost 20 min just for this. Salad with chicken and a coke cost $17. Won’t be back
Was so excited to have Gyros for my birthday. Why was it hard and salty? Tasted so bad. Chicken was juicy and good, salad was fresh and delicious.
First of all - how can you ONLY charge $12.99 for this meal?! I happened to google 'Greek food near me' and this place came up so I'd thought I'd take a chance. Situated in a small plaza behind an A@W and the Shell gas station, this is a true hidden gem. I ordered the chicken souvlaki dinner around lunchtime mid week, and when I opened the bag at first I thought they had mistakenly given me a larger sized dinner. The portion size is huge but more importantly the freshness and taste was on point. I think we're all used to the typical small overcooked white meat chicken souvlaki from other takeout places but I was shocked at the size of the chicken chunks and really happy it was grilled perfectly and not overcooked, and super juicy. I liked how they put the salad in a long flat container so when you put the dressing on, it covers most of the salad not just the top layer. Nice touch they add a few pieces of grilled buttered bread to the meal too. Will definitely come back to try more of their menu.
When I heard an old chef from my long favourite “esquire restaurant” had moved and started his own location I was excited to see how it tried to compete against the long established local spot for Greek food. While it is above average when compared to a staple “jimmy the Greek / Mr Greek” the quality and taste take the biggest hit. While priced similarly, the Greek fries fell below expectations with the tasteless feta and lack of olive oil. Chicken/Pork souvlaki gets a solid “ok” for mediocre flavour and texture.
The food was amazing the food was really good and everyone loved it . It the chicken finished really fast . The chicken spice is blended very well . The rice was good and tasted really well with meat . The portion was really good .
Unfortunately this time order was disgusting. Order via Uber eats: chicken souvlaki dinner-2 and chicken souvlaki on the plate. In all three dishes chicken was warmed up in the same skillet where previously they warmed up pork and didn’t wash it. You can smell this pork on your chicken dish. It’s awful, as we do not eat pork and I want to eat and smell chicken, when I make order for chicken meal. Also, the sauce on the pita was spoiled and pita was burnt- that dish was just disgusting. And the last but not least is that there was a hair in the Greek salad We used to buy there quite often, but now won’t come back.
It was my first time going to this restaurant after hearing relatively good reviews. I can honestly say I was extremely disappointed. The food was not good. The chicken was charred and the salad was not good at all. The kicker... They did not have any forks, resulting in myself and my friends having to eat everything by hand. The quality of food and service is definitely not worth the $20 I spent there. Do not recommend.
