7pm on a Tuesday - Downtown - walking, looking, but not finding much...I noticed the Agave Grill had customers typically a good sign, so in we went. Glad we did. Steak was tender and the Margaritas were excellent. Veronica was sweet and pleasant. I'll be back.
Great atmosphere especially when you’re sitting at the bar! Isaiah provides good customer service. The managers are very attentive and all the servers are pretty good too. Margaritas are on point and food is tasty every time.
I've given this place a few chances and it always underwhelming in flavor and overly pricey. The chicken adobo tacos had almost no meat on them, basically flavorless and presented on Walmart tortillas for just over 18 dollars. The pasta Perez is a whole mess. The flavors don't make sense and the dish was filled with large chunks of inedible fat. I'm glad they've been able to find their niche in Hartford where flavor goes to die because a place like this couldn't survive in a town that understands Mexican food.
The menu was a little confusing as I wasn't familiar with many of the dishes, but I looked around the dining room before ordering and asked the server a few questions and was completely satisfied with my choice. The dish tasted nourishing and was full of vibrant flavors. Finished my meal without that overfull and fatigued feeling. Would return
This was a wonderful surprise, as we had not researched this restaurant ahead of time which is unusual. We had a great experience here: the food was tasty and complex, the drinks were good, and the price was fair. We split an order of mango glazed chicken skewers to start, and they were delicious, if a bit on the dry side. We also had the agave street tacos all three of us, and we all enjoyed them. They were stuffed with fixings, and the toppings were delicious. The finished by splitting the crepas, which were filled with berries and other fruit, served with vanilla ice cream, and topped with whipped cream: A light, tasty way to finish off the meal. The total was around $80, including tax and tip, and we all walked away full. We will definitely return!
I had the original margarita and the chicken adobo burito, both were great. The burito comes with either refried beans or black beans and a huge portion of rice. Their chips and salsa were pretty good and there was plenty for all 9 folks at the table Our server was really nice and kept track of everything for our large group. He was able to split the check for all of us which is something he mentioned they don't usually do, but we were here at a business trip and we all needed that for our expense reports.
The food and service is always excellent! Stopped in for lunch and our server Victoria was magnificent. We had the flautas, street corn, fajitas, and Cajun chicken pasta all.of which were delicious! The food came out quickly and we will definitely be back!Food: 5/5
Food was too salty. The server was good and the margaritas very good
Had dinner here in the back room with a group of about 50 people. Service was great, there were a lot of us but all servers friendly and helpful. Plenty of chips and salsa for the tables. Also easily able to provide a gluten free dinner option. Had a really great time here!
Stopped here for lunch on a Sunday before a 3pm show at the XL Center. Arrived around noon and the restaurant was empty upon arrival. Food was very good and service was good. The only thing was that although they advertise a brunch menu, we were told there would be no brunch that day...the frozen margarita machine wasn't working and when we were done with our meal and ready to order dessert, was told they ran out of dessert....yes, the place filled up within 30 minutes of our arrival however, I can't imagine you can run out of dessert in such a short period of time.
