Went back numerous times to fix AFO for my daughter and she is still getting blisters, called for an appointment and they did not call back for over 1 week. On the day of appointment the owner called and cancelled appointment with no warning. The AFO is still not fixed, VERY BAD SERVICE. First appointment was fishy too, we got a quote form them, for 75% of the value as we did not have insurance, we were going to go with another company because they were willing to cover the total cost, but out of the blue they said they had a doctors fund to cover the difference but this was only offered us after we were going to go with another company.
I have had nothing but exceptional service dealing with Mark. He has served my son's orthotic needs since 2015 and continually each year thereafter. I am actually shocked by how other reviewers rate this business and people working here. I only receive immensely high quality service and communication every time. Yes, sometimes I needed to return the AFOs for adjustment, though I had zero issues getting it done. Highly recommend this business.
The service I received here is the worst service possible. They don't even deserve the 1 star. When we first went for a consultation, they wanted us to pay $300, we said that it was too much and that we would have to think about it. The guy told us to wait for a couple of mins, then he came back and magically a fund for our doctor appeared and we no longer had to pay. This was my first warning sign. Next he takes the size for the AFO and tells me they will call me when it is ready. Instead he emails me to inform me that he is doing me a favour by covering $30 of the cost for us and will wait to hear from me to proceed with making the AFO. I didn't get the email and there is no phone call to follow up. Meanwhile this adds another 6 weeks to my daughter waiting for an AFO. An AFO is made for my daughter and we have 2 appointments to get it re-sized, and she is still getting blisters. I call to make a 3rd appt. and no-one returns my call. I follow up the following week at 3.30 and the receptionist says she was away. Still not addressed my call on the day she apparently returned. Clearly by this point I am really upset, my daughter's had problems for months with their AFO and they could n't careless. So, today I receive a call that they are cancelling our file because of my behaviour. They take money from the Government and do not care with the follow up to ensure the patient which in this case was a child gets what the government paid for. The staff at the front desk is just as incompetent as the people that make the AFO. They are just interested in grabbing money. They don't care how much time they waste of families, they don't care, we have to pull children out of school, take time off work to still not solve a problem that they have already been paid for. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT FOLLOW UP CARE!!!!!!
My kid had a custom AFM done at this place, I was dealing with Greg Belbin the owner and that peace was causing to much issues for my son and he was giving me all of these excuses not to re do his bad custom work...... I ended up going to another place where the job was done 100% perfect.......Negative five stars for Greg Belbin.
I had a great experience with the team at AOD when getting fitted for my orthotics. I brought my daughter with me to the appointment and they were so welcoming! Knowledgeable and professional, they made my orthotics perfect. I have had others made for me in the past but these are far superior in quality and fit! Thank you AOD!
