Michal Metcalfe is the owner and registered as an acupuncturist and traditional Chinese medical practitioner. Experienced in the treatment of a variety of health conditions, from low back pain to infertility, Michal is happy to be able to serve the city of Toronto.

I had been struggling with pain in my right leg for a couple of months, and did six weeks of acupuncutre sessions about 1 per week with Michal, I can say with confidence that the treatment worked wonders for me. From the moment I walked into her office, and treatment room, I felt at ease. Michal took the time to listen to my concerns and explained the treatment process thoroughly, which made me feel comfortable and relaxed. During each session, the treatments were gentle yet powerful, and I felt my energy flow being restored, bringing my body and mind into a state of balance. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the entire experience felt personalized. After my treatment, the pain in my right leg had diminished significantly. I highly recommend acupuncture treatment, especially if you are experiencing pain or discomfort. My experience with Michal was exceptional, and I am confident that it can help many others achieve the same results. I have suffered from migraines for almost 13 years with little to no pain relief in sight. I started getting acupuncture and cupping with Michal one month ago and have gone from having migraines last from 72 hours and being bedridden to not experiencing migraines even when all of my triggers were happening and finally being free of chronic pain. Michal is a very knowledgable and caring acupuncturist who really listens to your concerns and is happy to explain the process and answer questions. I have tried practically everything else for migraines and I am beyond pleased with the work Michal has done to help improve my quality of life and substantially reduce my chronic pain.
I first came here on recommendation of my friends, they claimed that acupuncture helped them with cat allergies. I was skeptical, but having pretty severe cat allergies, I decided to give it a try. After 6 sessions I saw significant improvements in my body's reaction to cats. I no longer get itchy skin, watery eyes or runny nose. It's not perfect yet, but it's day-and-night difference with how my body reacted before. If you're suffering from pet allergies, I highly recommend you speak to Michal at Acupuncture on Eglinton. It worked for me and two of my friends.
I've been planning to try acupuncture for a while now and have only read great things about this procedure. My first appointment with Michal was for both acupuncture and cupping; she did such a great job at explaining the procedure, what to expect, and how to improve. I'm looking forward to continue this journey along with her guidance. She's also great to interact with and have recommended her services to my own colleagues.
I have been seeing Michal for over 2 years and I can say she is the best acupuncturist I have ever visited. She really takes the time to know each one of her patients and understand the context of what is going with their lives so she can offer the best possible support. She is very knowledgeable and does have experience with cupping and other different techniques. I would definitely recommend Michal at Acupuncture On Eglinton to anyone looking for an acupuncturist.
This acupuncturist is highly recommended. The facilities are clean, and the environment feels relaxing and calming to visit. Generally larger clinics provide a less personal experience and less detail. The acupuncturist takes an effort to understand your individual situation and tailor treatment at each session accordingly. She takes a sincere interest in your comfort, and well being since the acupuncture treatment needles itself can be intimidating to some. Furthermore she attends conferences and continuous training to learn new methods/treatments that can be used with her clients. She is also willing to spend necessary time to explain treatment, answer any questions you may have unlike many others I have tried and if she feels necessary may use other techniques during treatment other than acupuncture which was a pleasantly appreciated surprise. Often results that matter take time and patience, acupuncture treatment is no different.
Acupuncture on Eglinton is the place to go. Michal is an amazing Doctor who relieved my chronic muscle spasms. Michal is very down to earth and very knowledgeable, you will leave with a positive experience.
Michal was so wonderful, sharing lots of valuable insight and excellent treatment options. It was my very first cupping treatment with Acupuncture and I felt very calm, comfortable and assured with her.
Initial appointment was only 1hr long. Charged for 1.5hrs. Michal seemed not in the room both mentally and physically.. She didnt explain what acupuncture was and how it could help me. She left me alone in the room to lie there for half of the time nearly half an hr.she was rushing about. She had clearly double booked the time hence why i was only 1 hr. I felt pushed out. Wasnt professional at all.
Beautiful and clean clinic. Michal is caring, empathetic, and takes her time to get to know you and provide the best possible care. Highly recommend!
