Beautiful place to easily walk around. I've been a few times and while there are people there, it never seems to be crowded. Great place for a picnic they have tables/chairs near entranceway or to take photos. I painted a picture there for my brother-in-law as he and his now wife went there during COVID. Place also has a mini library to take/leave books there.
A lovely green oasis in a small, former agricultural town. Easy footpaths weave around the area with plenty of benches, areas for bird watching, and small water ways. There is a decent sized parking lot and a port-a-potty for visitors. It's a serene spot to unwind and enjoy nature any time of the year.
Always nice and clean. Trails in woods and on hot top. Some is handicap accessible. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the scenery or day. Picnic tables. Space for children to run and play. Many gardens and trees. Beautiful place. Even a rock quarry with engraved words.
We visited the Acton Arboretum for the first time on Sunday. We were not fully prepared to explore all that this place has to offer; but everything we did experience was wonderful. The gardens are very well organized, presented and maintained. Lots of seating for individuals wanting to contemplate nature, have a quiet moment, etc. Also well distributed tables for small groups. We did not walk the longest trail 1.5 miles, but the shorter paths were easy to navigate and presented a variety of plantings and habitats. There are several larger arboretums in Boston and surrounds; but Acton stands out for its intimate spatial qualities. We will certainly be back!
Very nice place to walk around! So many different types of flowers and trees and the best of all, everything is very neat with little tags to educate you about what's around. I'm in love with this place.
This place is beautiful! It is handicap accessible, including tables that have wheelchair space. We went in September so some flowers not in bloom but would be magnificent in the summer/spring! Beautiful trees and well kept. Fun place to go for picnic and with young kids!
A lovely place to bring your family and meet with friends. Pets are welcome Dog-friendliness: Well behaved pets are welcome Picnic area: Multiple picnic tables and seating benches are available throughout the park.
Gorgeous and peaceful place to unwind or walk your dog. I absolutely love having picnics there in the summer. Just a note a fair number of people have their dogs unleashed so if you or you child are fearful of dogs it probably isn’t the best place to go.
A pristine and beautiful place for relaxing outdoors, picnicking, and bird watching. There are several types of trees, plants, and a variety of flowers. Most of these are labeled with placards. A few trails go throughout the woods and through bogs and tiny pond areas that have small walkways and bridges. We spotted several turtles and ducks on our visit. Paths are well maintained and some are paved and/or with wooded planks, so they appear to be wheel chair accessible.
The Acton Arboretum is such a beautiful piece of land with nice little trails to walk around. Although the entrance had lots of people, once we got off on the trails we barely ran into anyone. Really peaceful walk with the chance to see many birds and maybe some turtles on logs. We highly recommend coming here just to enjoy nature or have a nice picnic.
