What a fantastic theater. It's like a smaller version of a downtown Toronto theater. Perfect size for a smaller community and I'm really impressed with the acts that get booked. Good quality sound system I sat on the balcony right in the center. These were fantastic seats. I would come to this theater many times. I don't think that there's a bad seat in the house actually. I will tell you though that there is no designated parking so you're parking on the street or if you put it in there first, which I did. You just stayed in that parking lot. It was like a 6-minute walk. Anyway, great experience
I arrived at the Lindsay Flato Theatre with my dear friend who has mobility issues and cannot manage a staircase.nI frequently attend this theatre and I was alarmed to discovered that there was no elevator to the balcony. I quickly found the manager who coldly and dispassionately let me know that it was entirely my fault that I had not investigated accessibility before attending. He said it was sold out and there was nothing he could do. He was cold to the point of rudeness and left my friend and I to leave.nFortunately a lovely and kind employee found my friend a ground level seat and we were able to attend the show.nnFor the manager’s disregard for people with mobility issues, his absolute lack of caring, and his insulting demeanour … I wish him an extremely cold winter.nSusan Garforth
This is one of the nicest small town venues I have been to. The sound is amazing, and they have an excellent lineup of performers. The ticket prices are excellent and the buildings architecture is truly amazing!!
First time at the Academy to see Tom Cochrane this week. So impressed.nFive stars to the staff, the acoustics and the seating. She's a grand old place treasured by the fine folks of Lindsay.nAnd steps from a large menu of main street dining offerings.nWe'll be back. Thanks for an awesome evening.
The Elvis Wonderful World of Christmas featuring Steve Michael's on December 13 at the Flato Academy Theatre in Lindsay was excellent and totally enjoyed by my friends and me. Thank you for a great evening.
