I go there frequently. Run by Somali brothers but you will find people from all over the world. No arrangements for sisters but enough space to hold large gathering. Always clean and well maintained. And they provide the best Iftar in Ottawa during Ramadan!
Jumma Qhutba starts at 1.00 pm Eastern Time Ottawa time as of July 21, 2023. The mosque is almost full in the first 10 minutes of Qhutba, MashaAllah! The Sermon ended at 1.20 pm and the prayer finished at 1.30 pm sharp!nGreat place and an excellent lecture.
The musalla is nice and clean but how can you contact the management to bring these safety hazards to their attention? I couldn’t find contact info. There is a tripping hazard right in front of the front entrance/emergency exit which also prevents wheelchair or stroller access and lots of paint cans + a fire extinguisher within reach of children. Please move the paint cans to be within a sealed box or a locked cabinet, move the plank away from the front door and bring the fire extinguisher higher up so that toddlers can’t grab it. A calm and nice place , for prayer ,Always kept clean and tidy ,Those attending prayers are friendly and cares each other ,Tfseer of Quran given ,after prayers, all social norms are being attended and mandatory.
