Service poor. Had to remind waitress at least twice to bring some items. My poached eggs on the Breakfast Poutine came runny - I wasn't asked how I wanted it. I like it med-hard. They took it back and came back 15 mins later with boiled eggs instead of poached. They took it back and I waited for another 15 minutes for a med-cooked poached egg with no hollandaise sauce on it. Much of my hollandaise sauce was lost the 1st time they took it back - I just gave my eggs, not the whole dish - my choice. They said they couldn't poach the egg hard for Breakfast Poutine - weird! POSITIVE NOTE: The waitress was friendly and they took 20% off the 2 meals that had to be returned for eggs being too soft.
Ate here twice on our vacation. The first time we were there the service was very slow but the restaurant was not packed. The second time we were there we asked whether the danish we ordered for a child contained cream cheese or whether it was undercooked, the server shrugged off the question with a response of “I don’t know, I have never had the danish”. It seemed like the server was not coached on how to address concerns about food quality. After asking them to check with the kitchen, they still could not confirm whether the danish had cream cheese or was undercooked, and took it off the bill. The butter tasted rancid on the toast but nothing was done to correct this….no offer to replace it, and the only spread available for 2 orders of toast was one package of strawberry jam! So disappointed. We won’t rush back!
The hostess was friendly and Mac was a great server! On top of the service, the food was great and came quick.
Canada Inns ae going down hill. The Aaltos is not open with a buffet any more and they got rid if their kid friendly room along with their theme rooms for adults. Never going to stay there because they are not family friendly. Used to rent rooms 6+ times a year not going to anymore.
I stayed in the hotel and went to Aaltos for breakfast. The food was good but the management was not. I was hassled by management because I happened to bring in a coffee. I had gone for a walk before breakfast and picked up a coffee at a coffee shop. After having been seated and having ordered breakfast, the server approached me saying that her manager had seen me with an outside coffee and that violated their rules. I'd have to turn in my coffee or leave. I don't fault the server. I asked to speak to the manager. After a brief conversation, the manager "let" me stay "just this once". This is not how you want to treat guests in your hotel/restaurant... very poor hospitality.
Always good options to choose from, great soup!! Val is always our waitress and she is amazing!! She could and has ran the whole dining room on her own.
Service was horrible, was in there for 2.83 hours just for lunch! i had got the soup and when i took a big yummy gulp there was a hair in it and nothing was done to correct this! definitely will not be coming back ANY time soon
Breakfast was superb!! Great service, and delicious food.
Service was terrible had to get up to ask for water after waiting for probably 25 minutes i beleive we switched servers 3 times still don’t know who our server is no one has come back to us for the bill the food was alright but kinda salty .
Waited 50 minutes for food and didn’t get any attention from waiters and buffet chef was VERY rude. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
